For years the left-wing has been saying that Fox News viewers are “uneducated” or “misinformed”, but now a study has come out that might confirm those suspicions.

According to a new survey of Fox News viewers by Reuters, this is what Fox News viewers believe:

67% Believe Barack Obama’s name sounds suspicious.

45% Believe that homosexuals are polygamists

2% Believe that science is more important than faith

90% Believe that all of the Founding Fathers were born in the United States of America, even though it had not yet been created when the Founding Fathers were born.

56% Believe Sarah Palin went to an Ivy League Law school.

99% of Fox News viewers who were Medicare recipients said they opposed “socialized medicine.”

94% Believe Reagan lowered the National Debt.

15% Believe that George Washington defeated the King of England in a duel for America.

88% Believe that Bill Clinton failed as a President, because of his affair with Monica Lewinsky.

75% Believe that people on welfare are lazy.

24% Believe Santa Claus is real.

36% Believe the “Bill of Rights” is legislation introduced by the Republican Party to stop “Barack Obama’s socialist agenda.”

99% Believe that communism, socialism, fascism and tyranny are all the same.

70% Believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya

38% Believe Barack Obama was born in Indonesia

85% Don’t think Hawaii was even a state when Barack Obama was born

76% Believe Sarah Palin has an “Alaskan accent.”

92% Believe that Bill Clinton left Barack Obama with a surplus, which he spent.

96% Believe the economy was doing great when Barack Obama took office.

84% Believe the Tea Party is a grassroots movement without any corporate sponsorship.

94% Believe the Constitution mentions Jesus Christ as America’s savior.

23% Believe FEMA is building concentration camps.

63% Believe Glenn Beck is a healthy weight

37% Believe Nancy Pelosi is a witch, and that she can cast spells.

25% Believe Hillary Clinton’s resignation was good for the economy.

74% Believe that unemployment is higher now than it was during the Great Depression.

92% Couldn’t find Iraq on a map.

9% Believe that homosexuals are trying to take over America with glitter.

93% Couldn’t name the 7 continents.

12% Believe John Quincy Adams was a Founding Father.

99% Believe that the Government doesn’t create jobs, but 95% of those surveyed credit Governor Rick Perry (R-TX) with creating 1 million jobs as Governor of Texas.

While some of these might seem comical, the most shocking result from the study was this:

100% of Fox News viewers said they wouldn’t care if the entire country fell apart as long as Barack Obama doesn’t get anything he wants.

****Satire disclaimer*****

I've said many times, and I say it again;
Never underestimate the power of ignorant morons in large groups!

OMG!!! How is it possible for a TV station to dumb down 42% of americans? How can people be so lazy as to let the TV do their thinking for them? I just don't get it. Even in the face of pointing it out to them! Fox has created a cult, not unlike Jim Jones.
I remember stories of frantic parents trying to get their kin out but the brainwashing was just too overwhelming. They drank the kook-aid and it KILLD them. This time, the cult is trying to take the innocent with them.

Diane O. tries with all her might….

Noted. Thanks, Kit. While the article is "humorous," there was a recent article in Alternet (10/11/13) about a documentary by Jen Senko called "The Brainwashing of My Dad" (Title of article was, "How Talk Radio and Fox News Brainwashed My Dad.") She explains how both her parents were Democrats as she was growing up. As she became an adult and moved out, she went back for visits and found dramatic changes. It was a real eye-opener. Explained a lot.

Maybe all those 'corrections' that they have at the end of each of SNL's 'Fox and Friends' skits are for real. Noted and thanks.

"70% Believe Barack Obama was born in Kenya
38% Believe Barack Obama was born in Indonesia."
That's 108%!
Tells you it's Satire right there.

Funny thing is, Barack Obama's mother was NEVER ever in her life, in Kenya.
[Besides, what American woman would fly to a THIRD-WORLD COUNTRY with at that time, poor medical services, just to have her baby?]

If Barack Obama was BORN FROM HIS KENYAN FATHER, that is a BIGGER MIRACLE by far, than the Virgin Birth of Jesus!
He IS the Messiah!
IF, that is..... IF.

My husband is a republican who watches faux news. I am not laughing.
They also think reagan was the greatest prez ever. Am I the only one who remembers standing in the unemployment line in 82 after getting laid off? The lines were so long we were standing out in the snow for an hour or more:(

The self inflicted gunshot wound that is Fox News: when watching it essentially, you risk damaging brain cells, so keep a distance. Given that they employ people who are lacking common sense and intelligence, present gloriously stupid and ridiculous insights, comparisons, and analyses on various political issues. It is small wonder that the phrase " Where ignorance is bliss, 'Tis folly to be wise." Thomas Gray. sums up many of th viewers.

The Sad Truth is--From my experience of having worked at a cleaning service, where my supervisor was a loyal follower of 700 Club and loyal watcher of Fox News--This is only the tip of the Iceberg. Her Favorite past time was to accuse everyone of 'Witchcraft'--so she could have an excuse to rip them off--Since she claimed to be so holy and righteous--a' 'Witch' getting ripped off was just one of the wages of sin".

No, it doesn't. It tells you that many FOX viewers don't know Kenya is not in Indonesia.
The number of FOX viewers is further proof of the axiom: "Just think how stupid the average American is, then think that half of them are stupider than that." (George Carlin)

sadly very close to the truth.. and US citizens are not the only one watching Fox News, just look at what happened to Australia in the last twelve months...
We now have a treasurer that is forecasting a 666 billions dollars deficit in order to justify today's public service cuts and cancelling school kids bonuses on a forecast that is just a pack of lies...not based on facts but on the whim of the laquais of the billionaires ruling our country !

I checked the Disclaimer, since it seemed Entirely Possible their "facts" were true..but: "Free Wood Post is a news and political satire web publication, which may or may not use real names, often in semi-real or mostly fictitious ways. All news articles contained within are fiction, and presumably fake news.
Any resemblance to the truth is purely coincidental, except for all references to politicians and/or celebrities, in which case they are based on real people, but still based almost entirely in fiction. is intended for a mature, sophisticated, and discerning audience."
Obviously NOT for FOX Viewers!;)

Don't need to read, hear, or see what damages Fox News and their ilk are doing...and not just to idiots. All I have to do is make my weekly, sometimes more, calls to my mother in TN, heart of the Bible Belt. She takes great pride in telling me what all the GOPTP is doing for America. Our lively discussions sometimes border on me wanting to disown the stranger she's become, and her saying she feels sorry for me, when I finally wake up from the Liberal brainwashing and can see the Truth.
I refuse to listen about her all time hero Ronnie R. And do not get me started on Tricky Dicky.
So this may be's too close to the truth...very sadly.

OMG-sending the same amount of hugs as I did to Kathy now to Sheila- wishing her also the strenght to keep watching and hopefully preventing that her mom does NOT fall in that category she mentions above , seems to me her mom is not very far from it,though...

GgmaSheila--I hear you. That is why I only wrote a little bit of what that former supervisor use to preach to us. If I wrote all of it, no one would believe me. After all, I remember how shook up she was one night when she saw a AAA truck in the parking lot, since she was convinced that members of the American Automotive Association were paid off by her ex-brother-in-law to break in and rand sack her apartment, so when she saw the truck she had to double check that all the doors were locked and that all were safe. Not to forget, she warned both me and the other co-worker that we should not get the flu shot, since she blamed President Obama back in 2009 for starting both wars--Aphganastanian and Iraqian War--that anyone who would Start both wars would make a vaccine that caused the decease instead or prevent it. As if neither of those wars were started by George W. Bush--well, that is the only way to clean up his presidency--RE-WRITE HISTORY.
