Thanks Marjolein for another good article. Oddly enough it reminds me of what America is becoming. The rich are few in numbers but they control our government. If our politicians had to work for minimum wage then the people would again finally have a voice. Sadly history continues to repeat itself. Greed and immorality has destroyed every great civilazation and it appears America is next in the long line.

Steven Gray, you are 100% right! Take away their full-time pay for part-time?work?. Strip them of their "bennies" such as chauffeur-driven limos, paid postage, their spa and over-staffed offices just to name a few. They wouldn't be fighting for those "esteemed seats" on the Hill anymore. I guess the Russians learned their lessons well from the West.

These are signs of the end-times to come. All these countries that are struggling in many people's prayers.

Thank you for this informative post Marjolein. I echo Steven Gray's comment above, and in addition to signing the petitions you've posted, hope others who agree with his comment will see my profile for something else they can do to fight the power and greed of the wealthy in the USA and worldwide.

I am not one who's trying to be facetious but, we need to give credit where credit is due. We can all make a difference if we band together as a people. At the moment, we the American people are so obsessed with greed and immorality that we forget why our country came to be. Our forefathers, came to America, because of the religious prosecutions they suffered, from whence they came. There was a time when life here in America, was good and wonderful and everyone were equal. But, the time came, when some of us wanted better lives, so we worked hard for what we had and our lives were blessed. Then their are some of us who only complain and wish ill to those who have succeeded. We all shared the same dreams and we were kind to one another. It's a shame, we all have the opportunity, to to earn better wages and live more constructive lives, instead, we choose to harass those who have attained wealth and power. Make a difference in the world by petitioning to those in Washington who represent us. And should you choose not to, then suffer the consequences. If we band together as a people, we can make a difference in the way our American government treats us. So come on people, let us work together as one body of one mind and one heart to press forward in saving America, before she becomes like all the other countries who suffer.

As much as I hate to say it, I cannot imagine that there will ever not be a rich/poor divide. The world does not seem to work that way.

The elite have no problem getting away with this behavior because they are very cleverly organized through secret societies that are interconnected on an international level. If the lower and middleclass started to organize through labor movements and such, they could theoretically give them a run for their money. All of these fraternal organizations such as Masons, Odd Fellows, Skull and Bones, etc along with political organization such as Tri-Lateral, UN, Bilderbergs, Knights Templar, Rhodes Society and let's not forget the Occultic Organizations are all affilliated. Do the research our founding fathers such as John Quincy Adams knew this to be true and fought tirelessly to outlaw secret society members from holding office. They knew if that happened it would be the end of Democracy. Secret Society Members take and oath to their brothers (fellow members) not their constituents. Don't believe me, like I said, do the research. Many members are not even aware of this. This is the ROOT of the problem and to solve it, you will have to get down to the root.

Alas, even in countries who claim to be communist, such are the circumstances. When Russia was actually communist, the millionaires were merely secret millionaires--government officials who hid their wealth in a variety of ways and enjoyed in secret luxuries ordinary hard-working comrades could never dream of. Power and Greed have ever gone hand in hand. They are the incestuous children of Corruption.

As soon, as earth will take more and not give, ecology will be more important then money, helas most ppl wont be here anymore, but u see the very tiny changes in the way, at least in Europe, we see the greener advertisements, for ecology products, the ppl, who rather buy eggs from chickens, who walk outside, the power off health is on its way, then the power off green living, as we will just die otherwise, all in all, it will never be tat ideal world, but the power off money will crumble more and more, into power off more health for earth and thus us, because it will all be for us, ppl, actually it would be complete, when it should be for earth itself, for nature itself, if we ever get there, mankind is already gone to other planets, or just a few are left, to many disasters will have end us, the damagers, the destructors, the greedy ones.

Fighting, shoving & pushing it looked like a bunch of children behavior yet these were adults! Does humans ever learn that results are not achieved in this manner. Are you doing what is right to save your soul or are you also fighting for control, power & greed! We need to understand that we are here to learn a lesson not to collect earthly wealth! If we become what they are what does that make us? Right or wrong!
