Did you know that over the past year, nearly 10 percent of the entire swine population in the US has been wiped out by a highly lethal virus? The virus, called Porcine Epidemic Diarrhea virus (PEDv), has been traced back to pig's blood usedaspiglet food

Very sad to say, but the poor pigs that died were probably more fortunate than the ones that lived--hideous treatment and brutal, cruel slaughter was all that awaited them.

This is horrible and the worst is that it's covered up. Thank you for sharing, Marjolein!

Noted. Terrible. It seems our government lets the factory farms do anything they please.

So disgusting. I hate being in the same species as the people who do this!

Noted. I am a vegetarian - can't even think about how these poor animals suffer before they end up on someone's dinner plate.

Factory Farms MUST BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE. They must provide HUMANE treatment for the animals in their car OR SHUTDOWN.

I went vegetarian 39 years ago. Why? -Take a wild guess!

this is why I'm vegan. I couldn't say I loved animals and then eat them or allow this suffering. I'm also a Christian and the Bible says several times, that we cannot eat hogs, because they are dirty to us.
