A Wal-Mart employee in Lafayette, Colorado stuck his finger where it didn't belong. Fire engines, police cruisers and an ambulance -- all with sirens sounding -- responded to the Wal-Mart to free the fool.

Wal-Mart is not healthy for children or other living things.

He was more embarrassed than anything, Friedel said.

Oh, Ya THINK?!
Let us never underestimated the stupiidity
of our fellow humanity! I'm sure that after
he was freed, he suffered a fate worse than
his embarrasement: "relesed to the custody
of his Wally-World superiors", who, I'm sure,
promptly shredded him a new one for "publicly
embarrasing the company". Wal-mart execs don't
take well to the company being publicly humiliated
like this, especially by one of their "esteemed associates"!
hee-hee-hee! "stupid is as stupid....", well, you know.
Thanks, Cate!
noted with a giggle!

There's nothing, I MEAN NOTHING! like having to call the "Fire department" for something stupid.......
I have a great laugh about having to to do that once in awhile!
thnx, Cate

I personally feel quite sorry for any employee of Wal-Mart! There is a class action suit against Wal-Mart right now for forcing employees to work throught their breaks and past their shifts without compensation......and if they try to unionize, Wal-Mart lets them know, in no uncertain terms, that the store will close! So I was actually surprised to hear this guy was actually outside on a break!!!!!!!!!!

I'd be tempted to do something like that on purpose if the local firemen were quite dishy!!

I guess this guy wishes that he worked through his break....lol.......makes me ponder what his mindset was, sticking his finger in any hole it will fit into.....wonder what Freud would have to say about this......hmmmmmm....LMAO

Katie, you need to see the calender for the Houston Fire Dept. HOT! HOT! HOT! Yeah, this is pretty silly. I don't like Walmart either, but I have friends who work there. They like it b/c they have a good manager. But still, I'm not crazy about big chains who put small business out of business...I'll have to remind myself not to stick my finger in a hole in a picnic table next time I go to Wal-Mart!

They never would have known he was stuck if it hadn't been for the woman who wanted the tale.......she asked if the man costs extra.

Noted with laughter--I just could not help it! I mean...jeez! Charles, I am still chuckling over your remark. The next time I am giving myself a kick for doing something thoughtless, I am going to recall this story and I know I will instantly feel better about myself! Gee, God must have absolutely the best sense of humor to watch these things happen day in and day out and say, "Now how does that fit with my image???"

I have to retract my earlier
wisecrack about the stupidity
of humanity. A quote popped into
my head:
"Somedays you're the dog, Somedays you're hydrant."

noted, One of the comment posters says the Wal-mart Store is empty as they have moved to another location. So I think it is one more time ,don't believe everything that you read. This guy was probably a worker doing renovations, etc. and has NOTHING to do with Wal Mart.

No! Wal-Mart has to much money. They do not pay! If they do it is very little and very hush hush. I've seen some
real dumb things done by that company usually by management. I will put it this way you do not know how
bad it really is until you work there a while.

From what I have seen, Wal-Mart is not known for their highly intellegent employees.
This just proves it.

I think Karyn should rethink her statement. Some people work where they have to, be it a Walmart or where ever.
It does not make one stupid to work at a Walmart. How rude of you.

I don't believe it is healthy for the human psyche to seek out others to laugh at or set up for others to joke about. That activity is demeaning, especially when members come to Care2 for humanitarian reasons. This type of ridiculing demeans them and their efforts and Care2 is not the place for it. Take it to myspace.
