Money Down the Drain: The Homeland Security Boondoggle

US Politics & Gov't  (tags: Homeland Security, Congress, government accountability, federal contracts, taxpayer money )

What could the US do with $15 billion right now? Knowing the idiotic propensities of Bush & Company, it would be pipelined right into the war, but with the right people in government, it could do a lot of good. Forget it. Homeland Security threw it away.

1/3 of the money spent on contract projects was wasted by these stooges - $15 billion dollar's worth of our tax money - on failed projects. I say dismantle this ludicrous failure of an agency, fire everyone at the top and restructure some of the original agencies folded into it with better management. Grrrrrr......

We should have all seen it coming when it was first set up. And McSame/Baracuda will continue to perpetuate it (probably worse) if they should actually win in Nov.

We are seeing a global collapse of the world economy. We are definitely in a greater depression than 1929. Our collective asses have been handed to us.

"What could the US do with $15 billion right now?"

The same thing the US could do with $85 billion used to bailout AIG today. CRIMINAL INHUMANE MONSTERS are words that come to mind.

Politicians always know exactly what to do with your money...either it goes on ever greater personal allowances for themselves or it goes to friends and family who happen to own the agencies or firms that 'loose' these vast sums...oooppps there goes another billion...OMG it has turned up in my numbered Swiss bank isn't that nice...those poor saps that give the government money had no sence of values...would only spend it on beer and cigarettes, flatscreens etc...which they have to buy on loans from another of my little moneymaking concerns.
Ah I see it all now Buttyfly...I should have been a capitalist instead of a poet.

Noted, thanks Cate, and I agree. We have morons running our country. It was interesting to hear that a RepubliCon pundit say that she would never hire Failin Palin as a CEO of a major corporation. She cited Palin didn't have enough busieess experience. Just what our country needs. Another inexperienced idiot...

Obama Laughs at McCain's Plan to "Take on the Old Boys Network" " he (McCain) tells us that he's the one who's gonna' to take on the old boys network. The old boys network? In the McCain campaign that's
called a staff meeting. Come, on!"

It's true -- the global -- nwo economy is heading for a melt down. This is historic stuff, unlike the presidential elections ; / whoever gets the spot (Obama, pleez) will preside over a smoldering wreck

-- Thank you George Bush, Cheney, et al. for overlooking the real disaster, and all brought about mainly thanks to your greedy corporate cronies who are always crying for less regulation (because, of course, we can trust them to do the right thing; )).

So who, in the midst of this Wall-street debacle designed by greed (is there any other motivation for a Republican?), would possibly belive that a republican is the answer to this mess?

Hey, it's Only $15B, right? : )

Remember our Congress and the Senate earn (are paid) $14,000/month. They are clueless about finances.
Obama wants us to spend $860 Billion/year to feed the world hungry. Just consider ONE Billion in $100 bills would be a stack of those Hundred dollar bills, 8foot-high, by 8foot-wide and 20 feet long.

Last year we forgave 89 Billion owed by African Nations, since Congress confessed that Africa could never afford to pay us back. Try that when you owe the government.

Last week our government awarded the Nation of Georgia 80 Billion American dollars, how would that help the American state of Georgia?

Some 10 million Americans out of work, the government has not reduced spending, so less taxes that would have helped pay the government bills, so those still working must pay a larger percentage of the bill. Analyze that when you go to vote in November.

Americans with out a clue, blame irresponsible home buyers for losing their homes, when the company they worked for moved to Mexico, that makes them irresponsible, their own fault in believing the government is protecting our nation.

What Homeland Security? with at least 4000 illegal aliens able to enter our nation each and every day. Who knows who is entering our nation, our government certainly doesn't know or care, since our nation will be erased when we remove our borders for the North American Union, and there will be no more security at all.

Now it's reveled that the Army has new orders about how to control civilians detained in Detention Centers (Concentration Camps) that law was passed in April 2005.

When will you learn that you are the enemy if you question what our government is doing. Better not demonstrate in public, you will be detained as an enemy combatent, how dare you confront our government with First Amendment rights, now dare you confront the government with a gun, also Second Amendment rights, then expect a trial to determine your guilt, no more rights to a trial, Sixth Amendment rights. Free Speach? that will be called Hate Speach if you disagree with treason by our politicians. What is happening to America?
Do our children have any future in this nation? If Obama or McCain are elected our nation will be handed over to the New World Order, One World Government under the United Nations. No more middle class, only minimum wage jobs available for the future adults after 2010. Wake up Americans we are about to lose our sovereignty, do you care?
Research the Security and Prosperity Partnership Act, the War Commissions Act of 2006, REX 84, New World Order, do you homework while you still have a home. This is serious, are you a patriot, or do you surrender. Fly your white flag of surrender.
