Some People May Want Rhinos to Die Out

THE unprecedented assault on South Africa's rhinos may be part of a deliberate strategy by wealthy foreign speculators to drive rhinos to extinction so they can reap windfall profits from selling massive rhino horn stockpiles.

Money matters not the living - corruption prospers.
Thanks Jill.

To even consider this to be true, places mankind as the lowest form of life on the planet.

Cites is useless. It won't be long before China's wiped out every animal on the planet. Thanks to everyone sending all of their money and jobs there, there'll be no stopping them. So infuriating being on this runaway train to destruction with not enough people caring enough to say no. Thanks Jill

Excuse me,pirjo sundqvist, I don't kill rhinos...Sick are the sob's that live by killing, transporting, selling and profitting from the killing of endangered species and ALL animal life.

Like the trees we cut with zeal and will be gone forever one day, so wil our animals and then we can go to the museums to look at their stuffed preserved carcasses. We must stand up and put an end to this now. Thank you Jill.

Screw the "unscrupulous speculators"- the track record for finding/catching/punishing them is disguting. So..

Horrifying but unsurprising. Money is more important to some, especially those who already have tons of it, than our environment

All the people that care, we can't bury our heads in the sand, we have to act before it is too late! Poverty has to be sorted out, as they people only care about making money, and a small fine is like a slap on the wrist, need heavy jail sentences or shot! Please sign petitions for elephants, rhino's etc on IFAW website as CITIES who has the poaching ban for ivory, thinks it would be better to make it legal so that it can be managed better! The CITIES conference is in March, please everyone sign, I am sick of every animal we can think of is being killed, please be the voice of the voiceless.

It makes no sense that horns and other animal parts are not illegal to trade or own after a species becomes extinct.

The rest of us who have an understanding of how vital each species is can not allow this to happen. Some of those with money but no scruples cause a lot of damage to protected species. They give no thought about what might happen in the future, they just want what they want, at any price. Shallow people.

the article says it all, "We are all about profit," What about when your profit runs out?....Oh, well we'll drive another specie in to extinction..Next before we know it humans will be on the extinction list.

Noted, tweeted, tweeted read, shared and commented. It should be against the law to sell horns from endangered species or from extinct species. In fact, it should be a greater crime to sell from extinct species. This is so sad and shameful; it gives an insight into many of humanity's values.

Nothing humans do surprises me anymore. We are the most destructive species ever to have evolved. I'm sure we are an anomaly which wasn't meant to happen. We'll be going soon, it's just too bad we are going to take all the animals with us. Disgusting, greedy, evil little ape-men is all we are. And we will never be anything more. We have proved we can't be trusted as the guardians of this beautiful planet. We should all be ashamed. Thanks Jill.
