The worst ever crime against women is rape! Brutality involved here! Makes it a million times worse! No one rapist should escape punishment! What do these brutes think that we cannot hit back immediately as we don't match their physical strength. Every girl child, woman should learn one form of martial arts at least!
Noted and thanks Kelly for forwarding this to me.

I signed! Thanks Robyn for posting this very important petition & hopefully the laws will change to protect the innocent victims not the criminal, as it sure seems this way. They still possess rights! How about victim rights???
And to your comment Barbcat, I do not believe God has any thing to do with how humans choose to behave! We all have free wills & God gives us the freedom to choose. But in the end, come judgment day we will all be accountable for our words & actions, the good & the bad! I know all too well as almost 13 years ago my poor daughter suffered tremendous horrid attack on her! & all the attacker was handed was10 years behind bars, but only had to serve 8 years, How nice he is walking free today & my poor Karen is literally living with all the scars! So make the laws so severe that they will not dare harm someone weaker then them! It is time victims have rights too!

This was a loving, gracious life cut short by psychopaths who used the deed to stroke their ego and enhance their reputation in the criminal community. No one involved in this crime should ever be released to do it again to another mother, sister, daughter, friend...there are so many victims in a crime like this who aren't even considered when the perpetrator comes up for parole. Everyone who knew her, loved her and depended on her is a victim and they will never be quite the same. We can at least post this petition as widely as possible and help Robin get more signatures--I twittered it before commenting and will do more when I finish. When I signed, the petition at Change.org. had only 24 signatures, which is the average IQ of the individuals who serve on parole boards. We need to present them with a petition which has more than met its goal of 100,000--a figure even those eejits can understand.

As a former Police Officer violent sex offenders are the one of the worst kind of human stench and I have caught a few in my time. No punishment is severe enough unless they start hanging them by their Balls from the highest tree. They will not stop.

Thank you all for speaking out so eloquently. As so many of you have noted this crime affected so very many people. I wonder how Robin's children have lived and what they are like now having grown without her guiding hand.
Rape is an ugly, demeaning, soul-stealing crime. Why this man was not charged with more than one offense I will never understand. But he should not be released in my opinion. I agree with Frank, people who commit sexual crimes do not change. They cannot be "cured" or rehabilitated.
Thank you all for sharing this story. We have to take a stand with these crimes and the government agencies that would release criminals who should be serving the full amount of time to which they were sentenced!

Stone me if you want to. A rapist should get lifelong sentence or I prefer the death penalty. Why?, because a rape victim life is taken away from her. Some rape victims "die" too.

Noted, and signed of course. I think it should go beyond castrate, use a rope, hang 'em in public, and be done with it. I am so tired of tax money wasted on keeping piece of sh** people alive in prison. Admitted guilt, why should he get a chance to get out just beacuse he outed his friends. he still committed the crime just like the others ?! Makes me so angry, I will never understand what possess some poeple to act the way they do but further why would any court anywhere put this person back on the streets EVER!?

Yes, they should all be cut, where it hurts men most. The guy who talked, ...he should get an esxtra serving of green beans, and thats about it. He bragged about this crime, like it was nothing. No, he deserve to die. Or just once, let us women at him. We will show him pain he has never seen before.

This killer should never be allowed out of prison. To do so would endanger countless lives and put her sister, her children, and many other women and girls in extreme danger. Texas usually has strong laws against rapists and murderers, why not now?
They may have had to "cut a deal" in order to get an eye witness account 15 years ago, but this case needs to be reopened and have his sentence extended to life.
On the other hand, I can see the danger of this in the future that they may not get witnesses to come forward and testify, especially in situations (crimes) that might not personally involve them; but this man is a psycho, and to allow him to go free, and to take the chance that he will commit crimes again, trivializes the danger he still poses.
I would push for the courts, the parole board, the attorneys, and everyone involved with his release to be personally responsible for him for the rest of their lives............then we would see if he actually gets released!

My Mother was Raped at 56 yrs old.along with 15 other coeds at the College.. and being we grouped several people together to keep this insane MONSTER in prison he is living a full life term..When it's time for their parole make sure the district attorney handling the case with other attorneys keep this case from being thrown out and submitted as if it just happened. This was a premeditated case and it can be done with POWER OF THE PEOPLE./Voice your opinion.

During the 2nd world war or was it the vetnam war, many many years ago. There was a lady who suffered all the horrors of this world and she was captured by the soldiers. They were the ones who did the terrible deeds to this mother of a tiny baby. They pushed her into the army truck, and took them away from the horrible crime scenes of war crimes. One by one of the soldiers started to focus on her baby and at the same time they wanted to what they felt was not completed on the mother. Suddenly one of the soldiers asked what they were going to do with the baby. No one had answers, untill one grabed hold of this baby and threw the baby over the side of the truck and over the bridge into the fast flowing river way way below down the cliffs edges. Seeing the laughing soldiers and her only hope...her baby, she tossed herself out of the truck, over the bridge and down into the river... she made no sound. One soldier recalls this story on TV, and I remember listening to this story as a child...I never did know the name of the baby or the mother or her family or community she lost. They took her picture and her young face is imprinted on my memory. I wanted to say this so she and her baby will not be forgotten, even thought the rapes and beatings etc were many years ago...if you believe in pray or can give these a second thought too and all the others human and non human victimes of rape and torture and their brave hearts that endures. Please give them a voice, by keep trying to save lives as you are doing and never give up...never.

The pain caused to this young woman and her family is unimaginable to the majority of us. I would have gladly signed this petition if it had been open to everyone, not just U.S. citizens. This affects humanity everywhere in the world where such unconscionable acts are taking place. Why limit it? Certainly signatures from people in other countries show they care deeply what has happened in this case and should hold some weight in any court. I do not understand these Change.Org petitions that eliminate the voices of anyone outside of the U.S. There is a war on women and all need the chance to stand together and fight it. May God bless this family and bring justice for them.

I would certainly NOT want to live in country, where courts would be influenced by petitions. Courts should decide based on evidence and nothing but evidence.
Doing otherwise would turn sentencing into a popualarity contest, where a popular mass murderer would be set free but a hated jaywalker would be imprisoned for life.
