Thank you for caring about Tibet, which is in so much trouble since being over-run by the Chinese.

And Tibet is an example of genocide. The Han have taken culture away from the Tibetans, as well as their country.

There should be international outrage.

We can ask everyone in the world to bring the UN to China but China will never allow it. They are a Communist/Fascist State and they do what they want. Tibetans have embarrassed them terribly. They will not back down from calling the Dalai Lama the Devil and that he is the encouraging the Uprising. If you go to 'China Today', a Chinese government site that is about the Olympics you will find an article by Doje Cuzhug, the Mayor of LLasa who says the Dalai Cliques are resposible for the violence and they are led by the Dalai Lama who ordered the riots, Etc. There is International outrage and it may bring change that the Chinese can't avoid as long as we all keep pressure on our counties and the Chinese to change their hardline on Tibet. They feel we are all wrong. Tibet could be closed again for decades; that must be avoided.MargoWolf

A valiant effort on Obama's part, however "the decider" isn't capable of feeling for anyone and injustice and oppression are his trademark. He is a dictator wannabe so he is almost certainly rooting for the Chinese and hoping they eradicate the Tibetans. He isn't even man enough to take responsibility to the lives lost by our military members, or the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi's who have lost their lives because he LIED to get us into this mess. He is not an honorable man.

An honorable attempt by Obama. I fear that Bush won't do a damned thing. He is a warmonger and the lives of others are not worth anything to him. He probably enjoys watching reports of people being killed, he is a mass killer and war criminal himself. Look at how many of our military members have been killed and maimed in a war he lied to start. Not to mention the hundreds of thousands of innocent Iraqi's, men women and children, who have been slaughtered by our military and BLACKWATER..the private army of a president with a BLACK HEART. He don't give a damned about the plight of the Tibetans.

President Bush did contact Hu Jintao during the early days of the Uprising. Do not forget he thumbed his nose at the Chinese by awarding the Dalai Lama the Congressional Gold Medal last year which infuriated the Chinese. Codoleeza Rice has said she wants to go with the Dalai Lama to Beijing for talks. I do not want the Dalai Lama to walk into the Dragon's Den. I do appreciate that Nancy Pelosi went directly to Dharamsala to talk with His Holiness and set a precedent for our future diplomacy on this subject. Most world leaders, including Pres. Bush have asked that violence against the Tibetans cease and that Press and United Nations Observers be allowed in. I still doubt that will happen except under strict Army presence. I am not a fan of our President. I feel Codoleeza Rice cannot hold a candle to her predecessor,Madalyn Albright. I am against all war and do not feel that my Senator, Barack Obama is a coward or that any of us disrespect the people who have gone where they were sent to fight. My husband is a Marine. I won't call you names for being intolerant an uninformed. Yes, Bush lied and he took us from Afghanistan, where we did belong, to settle a personal score against Saddam Hussein. If we had stayed in Afghanistan, we would have gotten Osama Bin Laden, destroyed the Talaban and Al Qaida and probably knocked off Saddam without destroying Iraq. Think about it. Obama helped create a larger budget for Veterans than had been given them in years and he will keep doing more.MargoWolf
