Thank you Julie, this is a very good and informative article with many substantiating links. It is extremely helpful to understand the various inter-connections of GMO. Good work girl.

One gets both scared but also surprised when reading all this evidence. The scared part is that in spite of these facts, still the political and business leaders are not changing their stands, the policies, and the laws that should protect nature and people. Instead they argue falsely that we need this technology in order to feed the world's hungry people. What for? Feeding them in order to kill them off when their stomach is full, so that there is more space on our globe for the rich and famous elite? It seems to me to be their way of thinking. Again we are talking about a small elite dominating society and nature.

Now this scary phenomenon is coming closer to my home in Africa, the place with the majority of the hungry and absolute poor people. There will be a meeting in what is called African Green Revolution Forum. It takes place in Ghana next week. For those of you who have the time, take a look at this URL
http://agrforum.com/
Going through it, I observed that it carefully does not mention anything with GMO or bio-technology, I cannot even find the word chemicals and I asked the computer to look for me. Nevertheless, look at the corporations that are supporting this organization and its meeting: Rockefeller – the intention of which you already know about; Alliance for a Green Revolution in Africa is sponsored by Bill Gates – who is also a GMO and Monsanto supporter; and NEPAD. For your information NEPAD stands for a New Partnership for Africa's Development. It is an extreme form of neo-liberalism; a purely economic oriented and corporation focused set of policies including free trade, free markets, and withdrawal of government interference in economic activities including removing of laws that protect society and nature. If it is implemented it will openly and legally exploit the African society and nature, ending in the death of them both. NEPAD was designed, defined and forces through without any democratic support from the African people by a small political elite spearheaded by Thabo Mbeki the former president of South Africa. You may recall that Thabo Mbeki was the one who denied a link between HIV and AIDS prompting him and his Health Minister to deny the many South African AIDS sufferers adequate anti-viral drugs, causing several hundred thousands of poor people to die unnecessarily. To be frank: NEPAD is a violent economic policy, which will allow greedy corporations to “rape” the precarious nature and the precious people of Africa. When such a system is combined with the Gates Foundation and Rockefeller, I believe we are on a very slippery slope. In addition, Kofi Annan is chairing the meeting. Correct me if I am wrong, but I believe I have read that he is paid by Gates and Rockefeller. I really am concerned because Africa has suffered so much from the dominant elite in the North like slavery, colonialism, corrupt political leaders, World Bank and IMF’s structural adjustment programs, climate change – all of which was caused by interference from the North, now Africa also need to be genetically modified. If it ever will be implemented, I believe in yet another disaster for this lovely continent and its wonderful people, animals, and plants.

We can TAKE ACTION against Monsanto and other perpetrators This is about corporate greed, corruption and control, special interests, pay-to-play lobbying. We need to focus on fighting corporate and political corruption to preserve our future!

Here are some suggestions:

1. OpenSecrets.org - find how much your Senators and Representatives have received from corporate interests here:
http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/index.php

2. MAPlight.org - http://maplight.org/ MAPLight.org makes connections between money and politics transparent, to help citizens hold their legislators accountable. It tracks money and influence in the U.S. Congress and the California legislature, with more states to come.

3. Use the OpenSecrets and MAPlight.org websites to find out about how much money your Senators and Representatives have received. Share what you have found out with the media, on blogs, facebook, Twitter, etc.

4. MOST IMPORTANT -- CALL AND WRITE TO YOUR SENATORS AND REPRESENTATIVES. Confront those who are corrupt. HOLD YOUR LEGISLATORS ACCOUNTABLE. You can find your legislators’ contact information here: http://www.usa.gov/Contact/Elected.shtml

5. Ask your legislators to sign the FIGHT WASHINGTON CORRUPTION pledge.
http://www.fightwashingtoncorruption.com/

6. Take a look at: MoveOn.org
http://www.moveon.org/about.html
Quote: MoveOn.org is “a way for busy but concerned citizens to find their political voice in a in a system dominated by big money and big media.”

Please spread the word!

It's discouraging....How to avoid GMO foods when they are in everything. Corn for example is used as a filler in soups and most other prepared foods.....Do I have to give up potatoes? And what else?
How to know what foods are left that are safe?
If our government doesn't help us out of this, I cry for the future generations!!

OK, yes I know about the GMO issues BUT, HELLO! Wake up everyone...a lot of the respiratory disease is being spread by7 government allowed Chemtrails in the skies. Ever notice how contrails, natural plane emissions disappear pretty quickly? Well, Chemtrails don't disappear...they stay, the spread and the fall out all over us, the environment, the plants and the crops. There is the main issue.

These kind of diseases belong to this century. It depends on our way of life, what we eat, where we work,
a.s.o. Even in which houses we live, which furniture we have, what we wear, the industry. Living "fast" is
unhealthy, so is GMO. The "greener" we go the better.

Now, this explains certain symptoms a nephew and me have been suffering every time we eat. I am allergic and he was born with many allergies too
