Why the Arctic's Big Mosquito Problem Is Getting a Lot Worse

Arctic mosquitoes typically emerge all at once in massive, ferocious swarms. The warming Arctic is causing them to emerge earlier, which could spell disaster for caribou.

Noted, thanks. I wonder what would naturally predate them in the Arctic. The rise in bat and frog numbers near me has kept our mosquitoes down considerably in recent years which is marvelous. I do hope there's an Arctic equivalent.

this was for me very interesting and a new problem, I hope there will be a way to help humans and animals.
We have the last 2 years the Tiger mosquito and for the moment no way to escape

As soon as I saw the posting's title I figured it was connected global warming.
I have a cousin who told me some years ago, based on his goose-stepping to the GOPigs, that there is no such thing as global warming. Maybe I should send him up there, to investigate.

Not so amazing that global warming is causing yet another problem. The poor caribou, getting eaten up while too young to get away and the mother down nursing,
