It's good to know there is a help line available. problem is if the household is riddled with anxiety, it won't be recognized in the child.

Thanks Corrine. This is important information. It's pretty light on information, though, and heavy on the advertising for the Boystown Hotline.

Interesting. It is very hard to live with anxiety but with tools to deal with it would be less stressful.

For Judy,

Attached is the direct link to the article referenced in Psychology Today with the heavy clinical stuff for you: https://www.psychologytoday.com/blog/liking-the-child-you-love/201601/the-rising-epidemic-anxiety-in-children-and-teens.

It is sad that anxiety can be experienced this early in life.
Mindfulness, as explained in "Full Catastrophe Living...," by Jon Kabat-Zinn, can be utilized to combat anxiety.
While anxiety may have some genetic basis, adults with anxiety unintentionally "teach" their children that the world is an immanently dangerous place by their own behaviors. So, it may be a good idea for parents, grandparents, to look into Mindfulness, and/or other ways of getting a handle on their own anxiety.
Despite the valid British quote at the website, anxiety is a much more intense experience than worry.
