Americans are tough on crime, but most citizens of this land of the free and home of the brave are fair-minded people who are against the possibility of shedding innocent blood, even the blood of a poor black man from the Deep South.

This whole case reeks of an injustice to Mr. Troy Davis. The State of Georgia does not seem to care one way or the other about this man's case even though there is no evidence linking Troy to the killing of another man.

TY, Mary.

I agree, Jim, when witnesses turn their testimony into garbage, how can the justice system call it justice? I would hate to be in anyone's shoes and be treated this way. It's so easy to say this person could be guilty, so we have to look at the case and put ourselves their, imagine this your brother, husband, father. Imagine it you.
TY Mary, I do hope they look at this case again.

Mary, thank you again for putting so much effort into this for Troy, bless you hon.
I will be calling the Georgia Board of Pardons & Paroles today and get a real person to speak with at: 404-656-5712 and ask that Troy's case be pardoned until he can get another hearing or appeal.

Blessings to Troy & his family, blessings to you Mary as well for all that you do, God is watching sweetie. This is noted.#3.

Mary, noted and thank you again for all your hard work. Amnesty International is also protesting this, and others I believe, so let's pull together for this execution to be stopped!

Governor Perdue or our Supreme Court justices fail to intervene on behalf of this possibly innocent man.

President Carter called today on the Georgia State Board of Pardons and Paroles to reverse its decision to deny clemency to Troy Davis

A justice that allows the state to kill in our names can never be called justice. I for one do not require blood to be spilled in my name. End the death penalty and especially in cases that are as hinky as this one. What are they going to do when it is discovered they were wrong?

Thank you, Care2 Members. Thank you for all you do for Troy.

Do not be surprised at the problems noting my articles. I am not. Too many of my articles have reached the Front Page, and I sign my articles with my own family's justice issues:

My family suffered the wrongful arrest and death of a member, just as Troy Davis' family is facing today, if God does not intervene for Troy.

Our justice issue is censored - blacked out of mainstream news, has been censored on the Internet by changing my tag lines, and perhaps this new problem of not being able to note my articles on Care2 is a part of the censorship continuing. I am not sure, because Care2 had some computer problems, but I think it is likely to suppress my stories that the Note-it does not work right. Are other articles able to get more than 20 or 30 notes? I believe they are.

In any case, Troy Davis and my dead brother, Larry Neal, have a God in Heaven. He will bring justice. If not in this lifetime, then those who kill them will meet their God someday. And

This is true insanity.

"ATLANTA (AP) -- The Georgia Supreme Court has refused to stay the execution of Troy Davis, removing one of the last obstacles to him being put to death on Tuesday.

The vote was 6-1.

The majority of the justices said the U.S. Supreme Court, where Davis has another appeal pending, has jurisdiction."

The U.S. Supreme Court is still set to here his appeal on September 29th. If they don't intervene, he will be dead.

Thank you Mary, for all you do and God be with Troy and all of us who care.

He's just another black guy,to the powers that be..and not powerful or rich enough to matter. All should be equal in the eyes of the law..I can only guess at what horrors Troy and all of his friends, and family are going through.I feel angry about this injustice,Troy Davis must burn with is a nightmare, straight from the pages of Franz Kafka's The Trial..

If they kill Troy just six days before his Supreme Court date,

it will mean the gloves are off

and they don't care who knows, caring to no longer even pretend to be fair and impartial

Perhaps some even hope that by killing a Troy like this, it would spark social unrest to upset the Obama/Biden chances for the White House

Who knows? What is the rush? Can you think of another reason?

When I signed the Amnesty petition, I added that -- that the Supreme Court had given a Sept 29 date and that they should at least stay the execution until his lawyers have the opportunity to present their arguments and their evidence to the Supreme Court.

The Amnesty petition sends a fax to each member of the Georgia board.
I suppose everyone has found it. Just in case : Amnesty - Urge Board to Reconsider Clemency for Troy Davis

There is also an American Civil Liberties Union -ACLU- petition- Help Save Troy Anthony Davis' Life
