'Through a deal with Connecticut-based renewable energy firm Viridian Power Co., The Storm King School (SKS), a New York-based boarding school, has begun consuming electricity that is entirely generated by local wind farms.' PLEASE GO SOLAR WITH WIND!

Thank you for the notes and the comments!
Some considerations:
The laws on Birds for Wind Energy are very strict -- if the wind turbines cause a certain number of the birds to die -- the companies are getting sued.

1.) If people do build wind -- so that the wind turbines are where the birds will not fly into the turbines and buildings -- then wind energy would be good -- with the other IF.

2.) If people will use some wood turbines -- please see the article on wood turbine in Inhabit -- then there are less steel and less fiberglass wind turbines. This less steel would mean less mining or using recycled metals. Less mining usually has a better impact on the earth and all that lives on earth.

3.) The less use of fiberglass would mean using an organic material such as wood or some other bio-degrade-able material.

4. Wood windmills can and would be made efficient and beautiful -- so this would help the atmosphere and the scenery!

Wind energy as wind turbines, windmills, and wind collectors of energy are good!
