Dear Naresh
I will have some copies made and will send you one asap.
I also have another cd that was given to me by Asianet Kannardi TV which was shown recently on TV. It shows chilli powder being put into the eyes of cattle in order to make them move,it's horrendous. Would you like me to send you a copy of this too?
Can you please remind me of the address to send it to.
Thank you
Kind regards
Avis

On Tuesday 27Th Jan I was just returning from Trivandrum where I had gone to pick up another abandoned German Shepherd (another dog not in my area but that of PFA who refuse to pick up sick and injured animals) this one was emaciated and covered in mange with a very sore leg.
On the way back home I can across a lorry with a Tamal Nadu licence plate that was in the process of having cattle unloaded from it.
I would estimate that there were approximately 20 cows who had been unloaded from the lorry , whilst a further 20 or so were still loaded , tied to each other and to the lorry by string tied through their noses. One poor cow was lying down with her head held up by the sting attached to the side of the lorry.
The majority of the cattle were very thin and some showed signs of diarrhoea .
This was an area the opposite side of Trivandrum from the approved government slaughter house. My daughter followed some men as they manhandled some of the cattle along some side streets. The cattle were tied together in rows by their noses and were obviously tired and confused. Eventually they then came to a stop outside of a high gate where it was impossible to see over to the other side. The procession stopped here with the gate closed whilst they waited for my daughter to leave. I in the meantime had contacted my Vet who rang the Police at Kovalam, they said that they had nobody free to send. I then rang the Assistant Commissioner of Police of East Fort in Trivandrum who asked me to go and see him the next day and put the phone down on me twice.
We went back to the lorry, which was still stationary with the remaining cattle loaded in it and nobody would admit to being the driver.
Unfortunately with no Police assistance there was nothing we could do to help these poor beasts.
We have photos of this incident available if required, the phone number and number plate from the lorry are also on the photos.

Can anybody do something please??

Are you guys provide some free medical coverage for all the people being bitten by stray dogs ? There are numerous cases of dog attacks. Do you think anyone in kerala can jog outdoors in the mornings? impossible. I really appreciate govt doing some thing to get rid of this menace.

I know I shouldnt answer, but Anita J, your remark is unnecessary and bloody cruel. No animals deserve to die, and certainly not like this. So you want stray dogs to be viciously poisoned so you can go jogging. You dont like dogs do you.

Thank you Simone, I fully agree with you. And Anita, if you like dogs or not, you ought to have at least respect for live. And now this, stray dogs have not chosen their destiny. Their owners made strays. If people were not so cruel and this includes you, their would not be stray dogs at all.

simone and ingrid, I perfectly understand your view point. In a country where we cannot even impose the rules against child labor and child marriage, do you think the govt can enforce rules to prevent people from making stray dogs? I think if there are enough good-hearted folks who want do anything for the stray dogs, lets build kennels where the stray dogs could be dropped by the corporation workers. But in any case, I believe when in comes to a choice between humans and stray dogs who gets to use the public roads, it should go to humans.

Anita, If people canīt use the public roads because there are stray dogs, then they have to search a solution, but, killing them is not a solution at all. It is mean and cruel. Stray dogs donīt deserve this.
The moment this world has many problems and I think they all deserve the same attention. There are no problems which are more or less important.
But, of course, for people who donīt love animals, like you, killing a few more dogs is not that important, isnīt it?
I think youīre going to have it very hard here on Care2 to find friends.
After all, we are here to support a good cause. Whatever the cause is, I donīt think it includes killing animals.
DONīT FORGET ANIMALS ARE ALSO LIVING BEINGS.
IF YOU HAVE RESPECT FOR LIVE THIS INCLUDES ALSO OUR FRIENDS THE ANIMALS.

Thank you Ingrid but I am going to ignore her, I believe she is only trying to upset us, doing a good job of it too, you said it so beautifully and my concern is for the stray animals, not her.(Anita J)

I know you trolls were be disappointed, but we are not interested in your views. Go somewhere else with your cruel remarks, and I am not wasting my time on you lot anymore.

It shows your true ugly faces, anita and the other fellow. If you want sympothy then go and hang yourself. You couldn't be kind to the fellow animals then who you will be kinder to the humans..? I am sure you both will be selfish and abscond from a place even for some other human who need you voice.
