This writer doesnt believe this. That is his opinion, I believe there is no reason to bred dogs, when thousands are dying because of no homes.

The author's own words show clearly his outlook on companion animals:

"poor quality animals"

"healthy specimens"

"dog owners"

Dogs are not "specimens" - they are living creatures. And they are not property to be "owned". And would the author have spoken of humans who suffered from illnesses or genetic medical problems as "poor quality humans"?

It's a simple fact: every time you "buy" an animal from a breeder or a pet shop one dies in a shelter because he wasn't chosen instead. That's the equation.

Shelter dogs are the ones to get. Puppy mills need to be shut down forever.
