A poignant episode in the Srivilliputhur forests in southern Tamil Nadu had all the makings of a sylvan tragedy, but has now come to a happy ending. A week after the death of its mother, a five-month-old baby elephant that was stranded in the reserve

Noted, hope this worked out for this baby, looked on the site and it didn't say, (from what I saw what actually happened to the Mother Elephant).

Elephants are totally a family unit and I am not one bit surprised that the baby elephant goes to where the Mother was buried...Sad, Hope all goes well with the new elephants...
