Palm oil is in many food products, often labelled as "vegetable oil", and yes, in soap and shampoo. Alarming.

I see that "Global demand for palm oil is enormous, and is predicted to more than double by 2030 and triple by 2050." I wonder what the impact of this would be on species like the orangutan. Perhaps humanity should plan for a different kind of future.
