THE battle to save some of the world's most endangered species is turning bloody, with wildlife charities deploying guns and military vehicles to protect elephants, rhinos and tigers from a surge in poaching.

We will not give up! Sadly every year our numbers are decreasing. Many organisations are trying to educate those in the rural areas about the hazards and implications of poaching, but very often the poor ecnomy and lure of foreign money is far more enticing to the poachers, than the reality that they are in fact committing these heinous crimes. Our game warders in South Africa are trained in the use of artillery and intelligence to track poachers and bring them to justice, very often risking their own lives. A Labour of Love is how I best describe it.

Thank you SImone. Noted x

I know what you mean. I noted for you. I'm attempting to get the koalas of Australia on the endangered species list. America has I don't understand why Australia hasn't.
