I have a spiritual feeling about whales; they are awesome, intelligent, and one of God's greatest creations. When I have dreams about the end of this earth, whales are always in there. This is a nightmare, isn't it? Noted, thank you Simone.

Noted. Thank you. How many of us can honestly say we wouldn't like to chase and harpoon all the whale killers? I'm afraid any humanitarian values I have go out of the window when I think about these evil specimens of our race.

The IWC proposal is outrageous! The Sea Sheppard has been on the forefront defending these whales for many years. Politics has no room in environment protection issues. PLEASE, EVERYONE, WRITE, FAX, EMAIL THE IWC AND VOICE YOUR OPINION REGARDING THIS DRASTIC PROPOSAL FOR THE SOUTHERN OCEAN. We can all make a change if we stick together. This is the last refuge on the planet for these whales. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE CONTACT THE IWC. All our united voices will be heard & bring an end to this slaughter on the Southern Ocean. PLEASE EVERYONE, DO NOT LET THIS GO INTO EFFECT. There is time to prevent this from happening before June 2010.

I wish Greenpeace could harpoon whalers. And that trappers would be caught in leghold traps and snares.

Outrageous, scandalous, irresponsible... Words fail me to explain how I feel about that.

We are brutal;there will be nothing left for our grandchildren. Why go to space,to ruin that too. I believe that the intelligent life will not let us get far,we don't know how to live with others on our own planet; Big waste of money

I agree, June G.

Here we have intelligent creatures with a complex social system living in the ocean in shrinking numbers, creatures we are just starting to understand, and we're allowing an immoral group of people to hunt and kill them for profit.

It makes me ashamed to be human. We have not come anywhere since the 1800s.

Whaling is brutal & degrading. After 25 years battling to save whales, weak governments are going to cave in & allow this travesty. Shame on New Zealand. The Japanese 'catch' in the southern oceans has been significantly reduced this summer because of the fantastic work of Sea Shepherd. IWC - This is NOT the time to give in & the Southern Oceans must be protected.

Show your opinion on this issue to the Obama Administration, which is in favor of establishing allowable quotas on whales killed, at Countries, especially Japan, will not be deterred from their hunt due to arbitrary quotas. It will be open season on whale killing.

UUUUUUUGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Has the IWC gone MAD!!! How stupid! Who the hell is making such DUMB ARSE decisions or (how much is this person being bribed) FFS get a grip IWC and grow some balls. Our whale population is on the down turn and now you want to kill them off completely. It is beyond belief and comprehension. I shake my head in disbelief and shame at such stupidity.
