Rescuers Transport Pilot Whales to New Beach

Pilot whales could be seen dangling several metres in the air as they were lifted onto trucks today - it seemed like the most unnatural thing in the world. However, after stranding in Spirits Bay two days ago volunteers felt they needed to transfer

Amazing how hard these people worked to rescue these pilot whales and in Japan a few days ago they slaughter pilot whales. I wish we all thought the same way about animals.

Amazing that people would volunteer for such hard work, and the machinery to do it too. Makes the world worth waking up to, stories like this :)

TOO BAD THEY HAVE TO SCRAMBLE TO SAVE THESE WHALES. I HOPE ALL THE PETITIONS AND THE PEOPLE WHO LIVE THEIR FIGHT THESE HUNTS. MOVING THEM IS BUT ONE WAY. THEY LIVED ON THESE BEACHES FOR THOUSANDS OF YEARS IT'S PEOPLE WHO NEED TO CHANGE.

Isn't it interesting that this country is trying to save the pilot whales and Japan is trying to kill them?

Thanks Simone, it's a shame so many died but it wasn't from lack of trying to prevent it.
