What's he care? Look at the billions he got when let go. Ain't that just amazin'? You do a lousy job, get fired, and go home with megabucks.

A special mention should have been made of Secretary of the Interior, Ken Salazar, in his capacity as the man in the United States with more power to help the environment than any other single individual. Licence applications for off-shore drilling go before him and appear to be stamped with his approval with little or no scrutiny as to the environmental impact or desirability. Petitions from the hunting fraternity (wearing their wildlife "management" hat) to further endanger critically-low populations of wild animals are met with almost exclusively favorable responses. It is hard to conceive of a more disreputable band of institutionalised thugs than these but they are an influential lobby in a country where trophy hunting is considered honorable and manly.
Open-cast mining, mountain-top removal; I'm sure the list goes on and on.
Mr Salazar has the power to do good.
It is time for President Obama to tell him, Do the job properly or clear your desk.
