Sarah Palin has a special responsibility and opportunity in the wake of the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. For it was Sarah Palin and Sarah Palin alone who earlier put the crosshairs of a gun on Rep. Giffords. And so far,

Signed, noted and shared. For additional comment to Sarah Palin on the petition,I wrote "Do us all a favor and crawl back into the hole you crawled out of.You are pathetic and nothing but trouble".Do you think she may get the idea that she is not liked. And to think she almost made it to be our vice president.Maybe the present administration isn't the best but I thank GOD that Palin is not in that

Signed it again with my husband's name(with his permission of course). And this time I left this comment for her -"You have a special responsibility and opportunity in the wake of the attempted assassination of Rep. Gabrielle Giffords. For it was you and you alone who earlier put the crosshairs of a gun on Rep. Giffords. And so far, your response has been Facebook prayers for the victims and an official denial that your widely distributed map involved gun sights at all. This is obscene duplicity at best." Oh I just love that woman.Yea,right. I wish I could put a spell on that bear rug she so proudly sits on and have it come back to life and let the bear get its revenge on the b****. Then this world would be a lot better

Signed with the following:

It's high time for us all to realize that incitements to violence have violent consequences, and clean up our acts accordingly. You are hardly alone in your use of such egregious tactics, Ms. Palin—indeed, they are far too widespread throughout our current public discourse—but you alone are responsible for the part YOU have played in using, sanctioning, and encouraging violent rhetoric. You call yourself a Christian. Well, real Christians are called on to Stand Up and take moral responsibility for their views, words, and actions—not hide behind outrageous obfuscations and empty platitudes. Show some real spine, Ms. Palin, instead of bravado posturing. Let it be seen that you haven't entirely abandoned both conscience and the tenets of your own religion. For once, please, Do the Right Thing.

"it was Sarah Palin and Sarah Palin alone who earlier put the crosshairs of a gun on Rep. Giffords."
Why has Homeland Security not questioned Ms. Palin about this incident? If ANY of us had such things on our websites, would we be Explaining ourselves & our where-abouts at the time - you betcha!

Sarah Palin has violant nature.

Morris G. (18)
Monday January 10, 2011, 2:05 pm
CBS News is reporting that Loughner developed his grudge against Giffords in 2007 when he met her and did not like how she treated him. A note was found in his apartment expressing his hatred of her and threatening her related to their 2007 meeting. Sarah Palin burst on the national scene a year later when she was named McCain's running mate in August of 2008. The shooters hatred of Giffords evidently had nothing to do with Sarah Palin since it developed before he (or any of us) had likely ever heard of her.

Sarah Palin seems to think that freedom of speech is license to say what you want with no repercussions.

I hope that her fellow Christian fascist/tea party/GOP friends learn this lesson before they begin being held accountable as severely as Palin should be held.

FOR Morris G.:

Whether Palin had a hand in the case of Rep. Giffords is neither here nor there. The violence rhetoric is the same as those that contribute to the climate of violence by nut-jobs and other extremists. There is no excuse for what Loughner did, no matter the cause, just as there was no excuse for the dirtbags that kill abortion doctors. The violence is encouraged by hate rhetoric from extremists, that confuse freedom with license.

Palin is accountable for her words and actions, evidenced by her website, just as anti-choicers are responsible, through their rhetoric of hate, their fliers targeting doctors with cross hairs, and giving out information on their "targets".

So when a political candidate known for such remarks as "re-arm and reload" or using hunting analogies as a response to cross party political issues and candidates, then they are responsible for the crazies that follow their words.
They are responsible for what they say and how they say it.

Proposing violence is the first act of a coward and the last act when reason has failed. Hold the violence-mongers accountable for their words and actions, particularly when those words and action are tied to heinous acts of violence, such as anti-choicers and the Tea Party darlings, like Palin.

Freedom of speech is not license to say what you want without repercussions. Palin and her ilk need to learn that lesson before a violent revolution is sparked by their words.

NOTED & SIGNED: Terroristic Threats are CRIMES.

Palin is the 1st to object to the supposed impact of statements by her opponents - even when those 'opposing' her are simply interviewers like Katie Curak [I don't know how to spell that name correctly], during Palin's vice-presidential campaign.

She can't take the heat - that's why she's always PACKING IT.

Sarah Palin took the target off her website after the shootings on Saturday and now they are trying to say it was cross hairs like surveyors use but Palin had " Don't Retreat - Reload ". She has been spewing hatred ever since she was on the ticket with John McCain. She says she is a Christian - NOT!

Sarah put on your big girl panties and act like a grown up. Please step back from your hateful rhetoric...words have consequences. You didn’t pull the trigger in the Tucson incident. However, you have been adding your words to the vile mix during your time in the lime light. Please use your words and influence for good. You couldn’t possibly want your children and grand children to inherit a world headed this sad and terrible direction.

Monday January 10, 2011, 5:08 pm
Gladly signed. Democrats should have held a hearing long ago on this hateful rhetoric from Fox news, and hateful rightwing radio. Now that one of their own political colleague have become a victim, now they will probably act. Or are the democrats waiting for something to happen to the president himself?

She needs to stay home and make cookies and look at the Russian landscape from her window and keep her mouth shut, and keep her off the internet. What an embarrassment she is as a former Vice Presidential candidate to the world.
Why they keep giving her the spot light is unknown since she does not project knowledge, professionalism or anything positive. Frankly I think she is dangerous. Maybe they should turn her loose in the wild of Alaska with a big red X on her back and let the wolves flying in copters get her. How would that feel Sarah?

while i don't like any of ms. palin's stances on issues,i do not believe she was responsible, that said, she has to take more responsibility for her words, as do most other hard right & a few hard left "commentators".

they have to realize that while they may not mean violence in their rhetoric, all it takes is one whack to misinterpret or take them literally.

we don't yet know if this man even read or ms. palin's garbage, as it could be he just had this idea in his twisted mind.

i will add that the right needs to tone it down, not only the rhetoric, but the manner i which it is delivered. so many of them are so loud & to many, that translates into anger; rush, o'reilly, hannity, coulter, reagan, etc.

to both sides, the tea partiers, etc. tone it down, in volume & content!

Signed. Seriously Sarah, please just take your separatist nut-job husband, Limbaugh, Beck, Angle, Bachmann, Boehner, Jan Brewer, and anyone else you like, and move to an island somewhere. You guys can start your own Right-wing Utopian society. Every citizen will carry a gun, be a Christian, pay for their own health care, outlaw homosexuality, and mandate that all children will be home schooled so they can learn about how Noah brought dinosaurs on the ark with him during history class. You can found your very own illiterate, misinformed, gun-totin', God-fearing, greedy little country.

Then you can leave the rest of us alone to live in sanity, to pursue equality, scientific enlightenment, establish social safety nets or our citizens, and enjoy peace. You know....all the things you hate.
