What an awesome story with such a HAPPY ending! I hope there are more like this. I don't know what I would do if disaster separated me from my pets--I think I would go crazy with worry. I am SO happy that Shane and his guardian are reunited!

It is nice in times like this to hear of a happy ending. Animals are our companions, and generally mean as much to us as our children, relatives. I am glad that both master and dog survived a horrible disaster.

It's astonishing - the in-built capacity of dogs to find their family. We've all heard stories of dogs who've travelled miles to get home and this is another amazing tale of a dog's love for his 'best friend'. Thanks for the post, Simone; it's such a heart-warming story.

I think most animals love us more than we can ever imagine. Great story. Glad Shane and his guardian were united and got help. Sometimes I think animals can see into and take instructions from the world beyond.
