The chestnut trees on the Fishermen's Bastion in Budapest, are also dying, not sure if from same or similar
causes. Very Sad.

I watched the American Chestnut die from a blight introduced to the US from Europe back in the 50's and 60's. Too bad we have not learned from our past mistakes.

We, certainly, have become a destrutive planet, or have we always been that way, and most of us are just discovering it?
Perhaps, centuries ago, it didn't matter to the degree it does, today, due to our over-populated world.
Mother Nature has a mighty hugh problem on her hands.

It always amazes me that in the Age of Enlightenment we have to fight to save what is most precious and imperative to the survival of humans! Could it be that people in power became stupefied? There seems to be certainly a lack of intelligence.

Europe has distroyed 65% or more of its original forests. So there are very few ancient forests back, therefore it is vital that those get protected. We should actually need to plant more forests instead of cutting everything down.

Foxes eat chestnuts ? Roasted Marroni perhaps if they can find them in the forest.
And then, never walk barefoot in these forests. Anyone who ever stepped on a sea urchin
can tell you why. Signed of course.
