Calling shark fin soup a delicacy makes it sound better than it actually tastes: it's rather blah and certainly not worth all the costs. I tried some years ago before learning about the resulting brutality, waste and environmental devastation. Definitely signed and shared. Thanks, Simone.

The fact that these fat cat beaurocrats need people to sign a petition to make shark fin soup illegal is frankly insulting. These people sit behind their paper work and are so completely inept that a matter as big as this has to go through 10.000 civilians before they do anything about it. Stupid! this matter shouldn't even have be qu...estioned. Shark fin should be illegal world wide! Shark fining is the most vile form of animal cruelty in practice. if people saw baby seals having their limbs cut off and being drowned (most sharks can't breathe without swimming) sealing would be illegal. We turn a blind eye to sharks because of an irrational fear and dislike for them. Sharks are so important for the stability of the oceans. for 300 million years plus eco systems have evolved to have sharks keep populations in check. Now we come along and in a matter of years almost every kind of shark is endangered No sharks = no food for us. We have already screwed our selves by killing off food fish populations world wide. killing off sharks isn't just shooting ourselves in the foot, its cutting off our leg and everyone else's. lets smarten up a bit counsellors. Forget the petitions, just do it yourselves! MAKE SHARK FIN SOUP ILLEGAL. WORLD WIDE!

criminalising shark fin soup criminalizes the shark fin soup dealers. plenty of people get high from shark fin soup and use shark fin soup for medical reasons. keep shark fin soup legal.
