Thank you for this post Simone ~ I'm glad to learn that Scotland Yard is aware and taking action for endangered species.

There are farms for fur in Europe. No different from Canada, China etc .UK could be an excellent country to initiate a peaceful movement towards finishing the use of fur in Europe. That would stop problem worldwide.I can bet.
Mr. Alexander McQuenn: A DEAD TIGER IS STILL A TIGER. Only people like you can think a dead animal body can promote beauty. You are only promoting cruelty and death. Step back, embrace and promote life. That, is BEAUTY.

I am glad that this is being investigated. It's time that this fascination with stuffed animals and animal skins came to an end in the fashion industry. Whatever designers come up with, it will never compete with the majesty and beauty of nature. But that beauty is only apparent when the skins are safely on the animals born into them, and only if they are alive and respected for what they are. There is so much available to the fashion industry that does not involve torture or blood-soaked death of other animal species. Let us encourage them to always take the humane route by refusing to buy cruel fashion.

Considering that the wildlife unit in Scotland Yard is very small, I think that they do a phenomenal job. Far too many people dismiss the trade in wildlife as just animals and regard other forms of policing as more important. However, this fails to take into account money laundering, a trail of human deaths and disasters as well as destruction of the enviroment. Like it or not, whatever happens in the world affects us all. To me there is not a more wonderful sight than a tiger (or leopard or fossa etc) in the wild. I just wish that it was in real life and not just on the TV but at least I have seen it.

What a creepy looking guy. May he rot in the deepest prison cell that can exist.
