Sadly we know that any act of responsibilty won't come from the goodness of Shell's collective and theoretical heart, only with strong legal force will they ever even attempt to do the right thing.

Over a year ago, th UNEP found Shell to ineffectually clean up their oil pollution. What is the UN waiting for?The enactment of fines would be a start....

Makes me wonder whether it's Shell or Exxon - and I end up boycotting both for similar reasons.

How much more you think Mother Earth can take??....Why aren't these Oil Companies to told to clean up??....How do they get away with it??....Are we so far gone that this is allowed not to hold these people accountable???

Excessive oil profits should be enough to allow for the expense of correcting the contamination caused!

If this happened in any western country, the oil company would be made to clean up their mess. Its as if any other race must take what happen to them, especially the poor. Shame........

Noted and Signed! I have seen a film from this area and it is totally destroyed and people are wading around in the oil, which make them sick. I wonder if that area can ever recover. It is really tragic! So please sign everybody! Thanks, Simone, for posting it!!!!!!!
