Ever since I saw this a few years ago, I see it in my head every single night when I try to go to sleep. It is one of the most horrifying things I've ever seen as an activist! May everyone involved, burn in Hell for all eternity! Signed and noted.

My prayer for all the abused, tortured, exploited and murdered animals

Compassion is the source of happiness in life….Without loving kindness and compassion, there is no peace or happiness in the family, the society, the country, or the world. How can humans be so barbaric? How can they not have compassion for other sentient beings and the fear, pain and suffering they endure? Just sickening.

My comment

"This is an abysmal method of torturing an animal to death and no civilized country should tolerate it for any reason. The only lesson that these children learn is that it is acceptable to kill and abuse another living animal or progress to a person."

I wonder if any of these brave lads would, with his bare hands, tackle a bull individually, I'd pay to see that!

I am in shock that this is still allowed to happen because of tradition. At what point do they use their brain and stop this by creating a more humane tradition to carry into the future?

Signed! And how sad these boys can't get their hands on a soccer ball and utilize their time in a more productive way...This does not bring about manhood, as that will happen in due time . This only brings on false bravado and sets the tempo for cruelty towards animals, and then on to the women of this country!

Signed and noted. How disgusting can you be. I hope the bull gets in a few good licks first!! I can hardly believe this is considered a test of courage. It sounds more like a test of depravity and barbarism.

40 kids against one bull, and killing the bull proves they have COURAGE? Not in my estimation. All it proves is that they are BARBARIANS.

THis is pure madness. Don't they have any brain (and heart) to think that this is not the way to prove their courage. Being a tradition does not mean that they have to keep doing it.

Torturing/abusing/killing an animal is not an act of courage, it' s an act of cowardice instead!

It doesn't take any courage to act like a bunch of barbarians and jump on an animal and commit extreme cruelty and inflict such horrific pain! It's too bad that a bunch of bully boys just like these boys don't jump on them, and may be do just a fraction of the pain that they are inflicting on this animal and really see how long they could stand it! This depraved ritual is only teaching children to be as unkind, and cruel as they can and use a poor defenseless animal as their target! This brutal and shameful festival creates the most negative image of this community and makes people nauseous and disgusted with such cruelty. No one would want to visit such a place or spend tourist dollars there! Please forward this widely to family and friends and email the govt. officials there to tell them how you will never go there as a tourist as long as this extreme cruelty goes on at this festival and you are spreading the word to family and friends! Please circulate this petition widely among your care2 network to get as many signatures as we can. We must stop this! Thanks, Cher
