he mailed some of the body parts to a school, if the police had taken his animal cruelty seriously this poor man jin lin might still be alive, as this narcissistic killer got the attention from youtube on his disgusting acts. I feel sick that this person is part of the human race. i hope he is caught by a trigger happy police officer.

I am for castration, all legal means allowed, IF such animal is NOT condemmed to the death penalty first !

This is a very sick individual who seems to court publicity through any means possible. I'm sure his trial will be turned into a circus but there is no doubt that he will be convicted!

this could have been prevented if he would have been locked up for killing kittens.

He fits completely with full 'trapped in the mirror' narcissism. He mailed the victim's foot to the Conservative Party of Canada, and the victim's hand to the Liberal Party. It is alleged that he tortured Jun Lin for hours and then partook of cannabalism. I think Canada should have retained the death penalty as a possibility for extreme crimes/criminals like him and Homolka and Bernardo. Under the Canadian system, a "life sentence" means eligibility for parole in 25 years which does not seem just.

This comes as no surprise at all. So many times there are warning signs and they get ignored or overlooked. Animal abuse/killing is a real indicator of someone's violent tendencies that could progress to abuse and killing of other people.

I agree that Canada does have some terrible criminals who have committed unspeakably horrible crimes. But I'm still glad we do NOT have the death penalty because of the number of INNOCENT people who have been wrongfully accused, wrongfully convicted, and wrongfully incarcerated - sometimes for *decades*. It's a shame they're closing Kingston Penitentiary - there are some deep, dark holes in that prison where this waste of organic substances and metals and oxygen could spend the rest of his miserable life.
