HE MURDERED A FELLOW POLICE OFFICER!
THAT'S WHAT "K-9 OFFICER" STANDS FOR!
ANYONE ELSE WOULD BE CHARGED WITH MURDER OF AN OFFICER!
NOTED AND I WILL SEND A LETTER AND FOLLOW-UP ON MURDER CHARGES!
I WONDER WHAT HE WOULD DO TO A HUMAN BABY THAT CRIED AT THE WRONG TIME?
THANKS,
JERILYN

Citizens beware. It is men like this that give police the label PIGS! What a filth. He should be tried as if this were a human partner. He should have his badge taken away as he is a dangerous individual and needs anger management at the very least. Thanks Simone. Very sad.

Attorney Isis Perez.

I am writing in regard to the heinous actions of Sergeant Allen Cockfield of the Miami-Dade Police Department, who in a fit of uncalled for rage, kicked his K-9 partner Duke who barked when he was not supposed to,to death during an obedience training exercise.
Duke lost consciousness and died later at a veterinary clinic from injuries caused by the violent actions of Sergeant Allen Cockfield.
I urge you,the prosecuting attorney,to seek the maximum penalty in the case against Allen Cockfield.
It is imperative that Allen Cockfield be held accountable for his brutal, inhumane crime of taking the life of a fellow officer of the law.
Anything less than maximum sentencing is unacceptable,The violent, unprovoked actions of Allen Cockfield make it very clear that he is a danger to his fellow officers and to the public which he is supposed to "protect and serve".
I have great faith that you, Attorney Isis Perez, will use your authority and power to see that justice is served by imposing maximum sentencing in the case against Sergeant Allen Cockfield.
Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,

As an officer of the law it is even more imperative that the maximum felony penalty be administered. This is so totally unacceptable!!! This man should never be allowed in police work again and be banned from ever having another dog.

This man is a joke of a form of human. He needs to be put outside on a tree chain with water and feed him at night but speak nothing to him for the rest of his life. And this is still better than what he done to his partner. but let him do prison time first, we don't want him to get away from that.

And he was in charge of protecting children, the elderly, & others that can not defend themselves. Maybe they were lucky they did not make him mad.
I would not want him working in my area.

Too bad Duke had to lose his life for this guy to be exposed for what he really is! Thank God he isn't patroling our streets anymore -- We are now safe!

K9's are considered to be an officer. He should be charged with murder. If they can't do that, then he can get extra prison time for destroying city owned property. These dogs costs cities sometimes in excess of $10,000. I know it isn't much of a solution to his horrific crime, but if it can add time to his sentence, I'm all for it.!

I quite agree with mu fellow posters that he should be prosecuted to the max for murder of a police officer, conduct unbecoming a police officer and animal abuse.

Good grief. I thought police officers were kind to their canine counterparts and bonded with them so they would perform better. This person is a loose canon and obviously has anger management problems. He had no business being a police officer in the first place, he was a case of police brutality waiting to happen. Shame on him. I hope he never has a personal animal companion, who knows how many animals he has already killed? Put him away.

If a private citizen kills a police dog, they are charged, at minimum, with assaulting an officer. This cretin deserves not only the felony animal cruelty charges, but also assaulting an officer as well as the murder of an officer. These dogs are trained to give their lives, just like the police, and as such, deserve the same respect that police expect. I'll be writing when I'm done with this post!!

This is an absolutely dispicable crime. In my eyes he murdered a fellow police officer. My letter to Attorney Isis Perez is on it's way.

I agree it's murder of a police officer. That is what any civilian would be charged with! So it should be with him. I'm writing any and all officials in their area including the state's attorney and congressmen/women. This is outrage.

Does anybody know if this man is still with the police department and if he was convicted for
his barbaric murder of a helpless police dog? He should have served time for this outrageous
act of violence. Not only was it animal abuse, a felony, but killing a dog who was a police officer
is as criminal as what Michael Vick did in his torture and killing of dogs.
