Don't close the door! Don't push me away. Why are you leaving? Don't make me stay. Slow down the car, I can't keep up. This pavement is hot and my pads are cut. I've got to quit running or my heart will pop. Every muscle is aching. Why

A beaytiful poem thanx 4 sharing. this touches my heart because
I have adopted 2 dumped dogs- I get so angry when people do this- so right here I want to tell people what happens to 99% of them-they feed the buzzards and do not end up finding a "good home" in the country. Pepper came to us as a little bag of bones at six weeks wandering around the woods and whining- she would not come to us so I placed a bowl of food and water out where she showed herself daily- 3 years later she is a loving wonderful friend and Ginger came to us so abused a few months back that she would not come near us and when we would walk to her she would run away tail tucked and lowering her body cowering as she walked- and then later on she would let us close but not without rolling over and peeing all over herself- a loud voice scares her. She is slowly relaxing and will now let us near without peeing all over herself and we can call her and she will crawl on her belly to us whining all the way. She is a very sweet gentle dog and she has come a long way- Ginger follows me around through the trails at a distance -we praise her and feed her and she will allow you to touch her at feeding time without running away or rolling over with her tail tucked. She doesn't cower as much anymore and her mind is healing. We tell her what a good dog she is and she just wags her tail-Somebody viciously abused this dog and then dumped her. I can' save them all but I do what I can.

Such a sad and very moving poem that really so eloquently and accurately expresses the horror that every dog must feel who is dumped! These loyal and trusting animals who would do anything for their guardians who are treated with such heartlessness! The poem captures the loyalty and trust of the dog's psyche in such a touching and profound way! It certainly made me cry to think what these poor animals have to go through because their owners are morally inferior to their dogs and their dog's capacity to love!
