I lived next to a farm fore a while, where they fattenerd up young bulls for slaughter.
These poor things lived in a shed, without any natural light, always standing in the same position.
After a few months, they are tsken away to the abbatoir at night without ever seeing any daylight.
It occurred to me then that, if we eat from the meat of these desperately unhappy bulls, how can we become happy ourselves?

Sorry, I hadn't finished but by PC decided to give up.
The point I am trying to make is that Mr Obama should choose a Secretary of Agriculture who is interested in the wellbeing of the lifestock as this also has an impact on the people who are in contact with this lifestock one way or the other.

Petition signed. We need a compassionate person for this position. There is talk of this man, former Iowa Governor Tom Vilsack, for that position. Please sign the petition to tell Obama that Tom Vilsack is NOT the person for this important position. Thanks.
