Senator John Barrasso (R-WY) is a medical doctor. As such, he has to have had considerable exposure to the scientific method. In addition, he gas to have taken the Hippocratic Oath, promising to do no harm. Sadly, he seems quite content to ignore both.

Medical doctors used to be guaranteed huge incomes but that's lessened in the last few decades. Looks as if THIS twit has found another way to fatten his bank account.

Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), who is one of three doctors in the United States Senate and a long-time opponent of public health safeguards from dirty air, water and climate pollution.

Yes, hypocritic is correct.....for many of them in DC and for Dr. even worse on this.

If they don't vote FOR the People's best interest VOTE them out. HOLD the next one's feet to the fire on any of the campaign promises made.

PLEASE SIGN
American Anti-Corruption Act

"Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), who is one of three doctors in the United States Senate and a long-time opponent of public health safeguards from dirty air, water and climate pollution."

Should be an easy fix. Report the moron to his state medical association and demand his license be revoked for violating the oath he took to become a doctor. They do it for far less reason than this, there's no reason he shouldn't be sanctioned. But it is like with so many things, if an individual doctor does harm or has an affair with a patient, or whatever, he or she IS sanctioned, but if an individual doctor does harm to the WORLD, then he, like corporations is somehow able to avoid penalty. Bunk.

Gene has a great idea......this man is an embarrassment to the profession of medicine.

"ůSo why is Senator Barrasso is protecting polluter interests over public health? Maybe it has something to do with the $526,866 in campaign donations from oil or gas. Or maybe the $122,831 from the coal industry? Whatever the reason, the doctor is a longtime practitioner of political malpractice. [emphasis added]"

Oooooh yeah! I would suggest that it has a LOT to do with the campaign donations!!!

He should be embarrassed to call himself a doctor....but then again MOST (not all) doctors nowadays ARE corrupt and/or corrupted by big pharma and running scams on Medicare/private insurance. Just about all of them make me sick and enraged. Good thing I know about natural medicines passed down to me from my 'mountain kin'.....because I damn sure do NOT trust modern medicine or MD's anymore.

Hippocrates is rolling over in his grave at the mere thought of this animal being a doctor!

Make Republican/Teabaggers an endangered species but don't give them the protections of the Endangered Species Act, or any other act for that matter!

So why is this clown even allowed to be one of the people questioning Pres. Obama's candidate for director of the EPA?! It's like having Todd Akin on the committee for Science and Technology, or Michelle Bachman on the Intelligence Committee.(Pun intended)

Marvelous comments--and I agree with Gene's advice on addressing the medical ethical 'lapse.'
