The news this week has been dominated by the Saudi assassination of Jamal Khashoggi. He is Saudi, a US resident, the father of two American citizens, and a journalist for the Washington post. Given the several incidents of violent terrorism committed by rabid Republican Trump supporters, one could not pick a worse time to promote violence against journalists. But that’s exactly what Trump did.

And this is a big part of the reason I am most scared that hackers will do nothing before/during the election, but will allow the blue wave to happen, and THEN claim that it was a fake, that they did it.  I see us getting set up for exactly that.  I'd love to be wrong.

RESIST AND PERSIST!

This has escalated with each campaign visit he makes to a state...it's appalling behavior, and with each 'rally' he comes out with clenched fists, and ready to rumple. To promote violence to this level, is very disturbing, and quite scary. imho.

trump promotes violence against journalists... against women... against immigrants... against democracy...

thank you TomCat...

p/s while i do not promote violence i would not be averse to having a chip implanted into trump's head that exploded whenever he said something stupid... (a la Sheldon Cooper idea)

His oath is to the constitution--including protection of a free press.
MT location choice was a county which went for Clinton...and one of his followers engaged in threatening behavior with a journalist covering the event (e.g., nonverbal mimic of body slam while looking at the reporter)...since intelligence agencies who share with us see proof of torture and more, our intelligence folks have it, too, and must have included it briefing for Trump...to quote him "sad,"

As Nameless has already pointed out, this certainly isn’t the first time Drumpf promotes violence against journalists, and it won’t be the last time, I’m sure.

It may have been the most ill-timed of late, though. But going from telling the press how bad it is that Jamal Khashoggi was killed in the Saudi embassy to praising the prowess of a man who was convicted for slamming a reporter to the ground and then repeatedly punching him in the face may, not be such a leap for Drumpf. He’s never been able to connect any two dots, has severe long and short term memory impairment and he’ll say whatever feels good at the time. By now he’s back to being friends with the Saudis again (it happened in fight and the arms deal is more important). So why not beat up some pesky journalists to compensate?

This is not just evidence tRump is evil, but PROOF he is evil.

VOTE, DAMMIT! This may be out last chance to save Democracy in the USA - at least, by peaceful and legal means. Remember, losers don't make policy.

Dumpy is a despicable excuse for a human.  those who voted for him were all about greed and racism, ignoring ALL the bigly indications of scuz emanating from him.  Pres. Obama was right when he said that he came 0n the scene 20 years too soon.  Starting from the birther BS, which, at bottom, said that he was "Not one of us," (white, male, wealthy) the Orange Pig was on a roll.

So Diaper Don likes violence sooooo much . . . put a pair of army boots on him (no deferments for bone spurs, age, or physical shape), ship him to Syria where he can be given a rifle (not before since he'd likely shoot a US citizen on 5th Avenue), and tell him to fight the terrorists! Maybe that will lessen his violent streak! . . . either that or he'll crap his diaper and yell for his mummy!

DD is a demented POS who belongs in an insane asylum for the criminally mentally ill! Oh, wait a minute, isn't that the definition of the WH right now with this administration . . . er . . . régime!

Not only does he fire up his supporters, but his avocation for violence is finding sympathetic ears globally!

Resist, Persist, Remove!!!

Lock HIM up!!!

Silence is Consent!!!

It is absolutely imposible to have a more profound anit Trump bias to any article or situation.. if it is posed and contemptuously entitled by our Tomcat.

Consider this tweet today by a Benghazi survivir,

Benghazi survivor Kris “Tanto” Paronto had a few choice words for those who have been critical of President Donald Trump’s response to the death of Saudi Arabian journalist Jamal Khashoggi at Turkey’s Saudi Arabian Embassy.

Addressing his tweet to the “leftist journalists & liberalists” who are angry about the Trump administration’s handling of the situation, Paronto asked, “Where in the hell were you when @BarackObama left 30+ AMERICANS to die in Benghazi Libya including an Ambassador?”

The entire United States did not have such a prejudicial reaction to leaving 30 U S citizens to the mercies of the the mob....at Benghazi when Obama was president and HRC was Secretary of State.....no one was sent to investigate....Hillary snapped at Congress for questions about American dead a Benghazi...because "it was so long ago, what difference does it make?"

The situation is now the Trump or any republican is president...

Talk about sickening hypocrasy?

And of course, Maxine Waters never promotes violence right here in the US....and of course, Democratic Senators do not help protesters get into the staff and senators only part of the Senate Office building to confront Jeff Flake in an elevator with a CNN camera on hand for the confrontation.

Fiona O, you are as bad as Brian - your comments are totally irrelevant to the topic. Trump is deliberately encouraging violence towards journalists. How can you defend that? He is an irresponsible, disgusting pos!

Fiona, confronting someone with a camera is not violence! Flake was asked questions, he wasn't touched. Even for you, that is quite a stretch,. comparing it to Trump's encouragement to slam journalists into the ground.

Khashoggi was a member of the Muslim Brotherhood and a foe of US interests (no wonder he "worked" for the Washington Post) and it would be interesting to find out how he got permanent US resident status. There are NO "journalists" in the alleged "main stream media" but just a bunch of Demagogue/'progressive" hacks who spew totally ignorant propaganda as "news". So far the real violence, as always, has been on the Left as we have seen with the Dem generated mobs that seem to target only GOP and conservatives. That has included real assaults on people and destruction of GOP and other conservative offices.

I always like to think deeper on what is being superficially shared with our nation. Here's a link that helps us think: https://www.brookings.edu/blog/order-from-chaos/2018/10/19/on-jamal-khashoggi-the-muslim-brotherhood-and-saudi-arabia/
Thank you, TC and the many members who find our country at a cornerstone of freedom for the advantaged, and great depression and despair for the disadvantaged, underprivileged, and economically weak. I suppose if we'd all been given hundreds of millions of dollars as a youth, we could spout out all the insults and cruel mockeries - just to keep on 'winning,' - but, from what most are saying, character, virtues, good-will, generosity, clean environment, protecting life, is our higher consciousness. I have never heard Trump speak with humility and authentic love for the individuals who work endlessly to make the wheels on the bus go round and round. In other words, it's the workers who keep our nation productive and moving forward. But those people are finding it more difficult each month to pay rent, visit the doctor, put healthy food in the frig, commute, and take time off to rest-up before plowing in again for 11 and 1/2 months. What would make our nation great is to organize all this wealth for the decent living of all those who are wheels on this bus of inspired humanity, wanting to live fulfilling lives, too! I'd hesitate to think that the majority of our honest citizens want to have a Trump Tower with gold decorations everywhere to make themselves feel superior.

Animae, one of the trolls says he is on Care2 for ""correcting "progressive" misinformation". He doesn't feel he has anything to learn but is here to lecture the rest of us. How arrogant can you get?
