Stop it! Rescue and ASPCA units knew of this "crisis long before the "suprime" .. they'd come out in the streets begging people to rescue/adopt animals but the people who need these companion animals the most ... senior citizens who live alone ... can't AFFORD THE VETERINARY CARE and the DAILY FOOD CARE for any animal from any shelter ... and the shleter wqon't guarantee vet care ... even though "meals on wheels" will deliver food for the companion animal.

Something has to change.

Humans are in need of companion animals but the VETERINARIANS have priced themselves out of the market ... people who need animals cannot afford them and veterinarians are most willing to kill animals rather than provide vet care at an affordable price.

I can no longer afford to support any ANIMAL RESCUE UNIT that tells people they can "afford to adopt" an animal in crisis ...

I have 3 dogs of my own, 1 rescued from a friend who could not care for him and a female dog from PJ's pet store abadonned in a cage with no food or water and she smelled terrible of poo and urine. And my first dog was well ok and now i wish as well that i could take more dogs in. I love animals so much that i would have a business of my own a shelter for abused animals.
