Noted. I am Native American and was raped by a tribal elder. So I understand all to well what goes on, and it's not just on the reservations.

"The commission was the suggestion of former Minnesota U.S. Attorney Thomas Heffelfinger, who also testified. The Justice Department alone does not have the clout or the interest in fixing the problems. The agency's lack of interest means that "only a congressionally supervised and monitored group of experts and interested individuals can realistically meet this challenge," Heffelfinger said. Tribal leaders said the problem of violent crime has grown worse with the rise of methamphetamine use, and is exacerbated by the lack of police and confusing law enforcement jurisdictions that remain from a century of patchwork legislative action by Congress.

You have a good point Marcel about violence. It seems rampant in our society and perhaps even the world now. Our society lacks cultural moreings because of the last eight years of repressive government. Irony how trying to mix religion and politics only seems to make violence worse-especially with a government that is at the same time promoting war which is all about death and killing. Noted
