"We really see Brittany as the victim here. Even though she may have left willingly, we see this as this predator preyed on her."
I hope they did not have to think too hard about that one.

I'm happy this story had a happy ending. Too many stories like this don't. Brittany is a very lucky girl and I pray she realizes that fact.

Noted. I can understand where the Texas police are coming from .. but I also feel that girl has rocks in her head instead of brains. When a 16 y/o runs off with a 31 y/o there are other problems present .. I'm just grateful she isn't mine.

It just goes to show you how slick these perverts can be. She was a young woman that was excited by the attention that she wasn't receiving by young men her own age. Theses predators are attune to the young women's fantasies, and they take advantage of that. Parents must try to communicate with their children all of the time! Being a parent never stops, we should always be there for our children and even our grandchildren!
Wow, this young lady is very lucky everyone acted so expeditiously! I agree that this story has a happy ending unlike many other stories that did not.

Let me see here. A predator takes advantage of a 16 year old girl and someone has the nerve to say ...."quote"...that the girl had rocks in her head instead of brains. Hmmmmm very interesting. And just because she fell victim to a smooth predator she had other problems present. Did you ever stop and think that just maybe he told her that he would kill her and her family if she didn't leave with him. This story didn't go into any details except that she went willingly. Well sometimes a young child will do incrediable things at the hands of a child molester. Survive kicks in. I am grateful that everyone don't have the same attitude about their children. I just hope with that kind of karma that you don't get a bite in the rear....with your own children or grandchildren. I am very thankful for her safe return because we don't know the complete facts. She may have just had more "brains" than you realize.

They never give a sexual pervert enough time as it is, compared to lesser crimes. They need to lock them up and throw away the key, at the very least until they are too old to be able to carry out such a sickness again. There is no cure. Yes, this girl was lucky.

Get caught with a small amount of pot--they lock you up and throw away the key. Ruin a child's life and you'll be out on the streets and free to do it again in no time. How else do you think most of these guys get such long rap sheets?

Thank you for the article. I am so happy she was able to come back home. It could have been so much worst.
