Water is the only compound on Earth to exist in liquid, solid, and gaseous forms. Each of these naturally occurring conditions are vital to sustaining animal life.

Thank you Deb ! Well,it doesn't look too good. "Less than one percent of the Earth's water supply is safe for human consumption. With 7 billion people on the planet, vapor is a critical step in replenishing this small quantity of viable water. Unfortunately, the refining and use of fossil fuels creates a condition known as acid rain." I really wish I had a little more faith in the human race, that they will wake up and step up to environmental plate NOW, but alas it wanes daily....

you can tell a lot about a person or society by the way it treats the beings it doesn't think it has to treat well
if we devalue anything we stand to lose everything
life has value beyond measure

Lots of substances occur at liquid, gaseous and solid form on Earth. Mercury does, gasoline does, carbon tetrachloride does, cyclohexane does etc.

Water is important for life.

"Each year on March 22 is World Water Day. The United Nations introduced this awareness day in 1993 to educate the world on the importance of water conditions necessary to support plants, animals, and humans. In 2012, the focus is on food security and water in agriculture. The timing of the topic is ideal as the United States intends to make the construction of the Keystone XL scheme a frontrunner political issue for reelection. Should the Keystone XL scheme pass it would run through the Ogallala Aquifer, one of the largest aquifers on the planet. It provides America with 30 percent of its farmland irrigation and is the main source for drinking water to 82 percent of the population within the aquifer boundaries of Wyoming, South Dakota, North Dakota, Colorado, Kansas, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas."

Ty, Deb.

Thanks Deb for another excellet article. I love the idea of stating that animals also need clean water and we have to our part to help them, not just only for us. Sometimes it is not obvious how our action causing more water pollution. For example, if we use more of public transporation, meaning less oil demand and that will also reducing oil drilling and transportation and that will then reduce risk of oil spill. And of course, we need to control our own population growth, no resource gonna last forever for us to use....

global Warming is real..and it is the sorce of OUR WATER...WHERE ANYONE LIVES..and those of us, that have been safwe, like here in the USA, WE ARE NOT, ANY MORE....EITHER!!!...this is GLOBAL, AND IT IS NOW, NOT LATER!!...WE CAN DO THINGS EVERYDAY TO COUNTERBALANCE THIS, NOW!!!...NOT LATER, later will be too late...WE have to do it now, together!, more time for blameing...just time for living with responsable, proactive solutions on everyone's part...AND IT WILL TAKE EVERYONE, so WE can counterbalance the people that will never care....BUT THERE IS ...MORE OF US, THAN THEM!!...So I believe in US!!!...WE WIN, THE EARTH WINS AND LIFE CONTINUES TO WIN, THANKS TO ALL OF US!!!
