Those who wish to creatively protest this invasion of privacy, and who don't mind a little good-natured obscenity with their truth, can go to YouTube and watch this video. I just did and I intend to watch it a few more times so that they won't be in any doubt as to my viewing habits. It's an oldie but a goodie. ROFL

Hmm. Do you think THEY yet have cameras built into our TV's and computers to watch what we're doing.

No, you get that bonus only by voting McCain.

You get the bonus if you vote, Jill, since the GEMS central tabulators can easily flip your Obama vote to McCain.

Agnes is AB L., one of my bestest friends, who sent me the story independently, and when I went to post it, I found that you already had, for which I am grateful. Surprised that you two haven't run into each other, but I guess Agnes posts mostly in groups and you post mostly in news. But you both have a gift for finding the important stuff and getting it out.

Cameras are already built into computers - Apples for your viewing/spying pleasures... Don't want it, just put a piece of paper over it and don't turn that program on. Anyone know about TV's...

This is a very bad decision made by the courts. Viacom cannot be trusted with the information and they have no business in knowing what we view on the internet.

TY, Jill.

I think they're going to regret asking for that information. I'd love to see what Viacom thinks when they learn what people who don't watch TV actually DO watch. ROFL

And they can stick it up their SUVs. ROFL

Thanks Jill and Mark for bringing it to my attention! That just sucks! Time to boycott Viacom! Sounds to me like Viacom and the government have some sort of deal going!

Peter M has given me an idea :
Let me take advantage of this story being on FrontPage to get some support for an important (and related) TAKE ACTION issue that has sadly been neglected so far, here on C2 -

Sen. Feingold's Video Message on FISA - TAKE ACTION: Battle Isn't Over, Just Postponed

Btw, FISA is the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, the one that, if passed by the Senate (the spineless cretins in the House already have !), will give impunity to telecom companies for complying with GWB's illegal warrantless wiretap program !

Description of above post:
After celebrating the Constitution over the July 4th recess, will Congress come back to defend it...or will they vote to give retroactive immunity for George Bush's illegal wiretapping program? Listen to Sen Feingold discuss the issues and TAKE ACTION

Noted and Signed with thanks Jill :)
I INTEND TO BOYCOTT VIACOM any way that I can! If it is owned or produced by Viacom, I am not going to buy the product!
The decision was handed down in a New York court that Google has to hand over all the personal details and contact details of you tube users to Viacom.
I suggest a complete embargo on all Viacom products which includes MTV, Nickelodeon, Paramount Pictures, Dreamworks Studios and many more.(Listed below)
In a statement yesterday, Google said it would lobby for the data it provides to be scrubbed clean of personal information.
"We are disappointed the court granted Viacom's overreaching demand for viewing history. We will ask Viacom to respect users' privacy and allow us to anonymise the logs before producing them under the court's order," it said.

Please contact Viacom via their website (http://www.viacom.com) to let them know that you do not agree with this.
The only way to get a message loud and clear to Viacom is to not give them your Money!
List of Viacom Brands: Media Networks, Bet Networks, Bet, Bet J, MTV Networks, Atomfilms, Addictinggames, CMT, Comedy Central, Gametrailers, Harmonix, LOGO, MTV, MTV2, MTVN International, MTVU, MTV TR3S, Neopets, Nickelodeon -Nick Jr, Nick At Nite, Noggin, Parentsconnect, Quizilla, Rhapsody, Shockwave, Spike TV, The N, TV Land, VH1, VH1 Classic, VH1 Soul, Virtual Worlds, XFire, Filmed Enternment, Paramount Pictures Corp., Paramount Pictures, Dreamworks Studios, Paramount Vantage, MTV Films, Nickelodeon Movies, Home Enterainment, Globel Reach

Hah! With this garbage, maybe the best way to fight it would be for everyone who hates this to massively increase the number of videos we watch. FLOOD them with records to check. (I love to think of them wasting their time scanning the MANY lame-ass vidos on You Tube on which I've wasted my time in the past....

I think I'll just move into the white house so they can spy on me real easy. They can already tap my phone, look into my house with cameras that see through walls, fly over my property, open my mail, check out what organizations I belong to, see what library books I've checked out and they probably know if I've flushed my toilet and remembered to wash my hands. I am going to go on youtuve and click on every strange video I can and the funny thing is I can't watch videos as I'm on a dialup connection that races along at about 24-28 kbps. It takes an hour to view a 4 min. video. But I can open them and that will count.

I just sent Morgan a green star for that. But please don't move into the White House until we can get the present occupants out and have the place fumigated, Morgan. Right now it wouldn't be a healthy environment. ROFL

Thanks Mark, come to think of it I don't think that address will be a healthy environment for many years to come. Another thing to do is to join mis-mathed organizations. Like Greenpeace and the NRA, crap like that just messes with them if they ever have to investigate you. I sort of doubt I could ever get even a midlevel security clearance.

You might be surprised, Morgan. One time when the Navy was trying to find a reason to fire me, they decided that I was gay, so they ran a security clearance investigation and went around questioning my friends, neighbors, family, everybody they could find. As it happened, I'd been a dope fiend, a radical, and just about every other kind of f**k-up you could name, but it just so happened that I wasn't gay, and of course being our extremely competent and intelligent government, that was the only thing they looked for. ROFLMFAO
