New FBI report confirms white supremacist groups infiltrating the military, serving in Iraq/Afghanistan. Neither Rumsfeld nor Gates enacted any sort of systemic investigation/crackdown despite Congressional demands. Military extremists - elevated threat..

The FBI report is not the only source of information and evidence on this frightening development. This is the 2nd page from the post:

Currently, 46 members of the white supremacist social networking website Newsaxon.com identity themselves as active-duty military personnel. Six of these individuals are members of "White Military Men," a New Saxon sub-group.

Earlier this year, the founder of White Military Men identified himself in his New Saxon account as "Lance Corporal Burton" of the 2nd Battalion Fox Company Pit 2097, from Florida, according to a master's thesis by graduate student Matthew Kennard. Under his "About Me" section, Burton writes: "Love to shoot my M16A2 service rifle effectively at the Hachies (Iraqis)," and, "Love to watch things blow up (Hachies House)."

As part of his thesis research, Kennard, at the time a student at Columbia University's Toni Stabile Center for Investigative Journalism, also monitored claims of active-duty military service earlier this year on the neo-Nazi online forum Blood and Honour, where "88Soldier88" posted this message on Feb. 18: "I am in the ARMY right now. I work in the Detainee Holding Area [in Iraq]. I am in this until 2013. I am in the infantry but want to go to SF [Special Forces]. Hopefully the training will prepare me for what I hope is to come."

One of the Blood and Honour members claiming to be an active-duty soldier taking part in combat operations in Iraq identified himself to Kennard as Jacob Berg. He did not disclose his rank or branch of service. "There are actually a lot more 'skinheads,' 'nazis,' white supremacists now [in the military] than there has been in a long time," Berg wrote in an E-mail exchange with Kennard. "Us racists are actually getting into the military a lot now because if we don't every one who already is [in the military] will take pity on killing sand niggers. Yes I have killed women, yes I have killed children and yes I have killed older people. But the biggest reason I'm so proud of my kills is because by killing a brown many white people will live to see a new dawn."

The Army is currently investigating war crimes allegations leveled against Iraq combat veteran and active-duty Army soldier Kenneth Eastridge, 24, who is facing trial for the December 2007 murder of a fellow serviceman. After Eastridge was arrested for that killing, National Public Radio publicized his MySpace page, which showed Eastridge displaying a tattoo of SS lightning bolts, a common neo-Nazi insignia.

Another member of Eastridge's company recently told Army investigators that Eastridge used a stolen AK-47 to fire indiscriminately at Iraqi civilians from his moving Humvee on the streets of Baghdad. "The military is to some extent desperate to get people to fight, soldiers who are not fit, mentally and physically sick, but they continue to send them," Eastridge's attorney told Kennard. "Having a tattoo was the least [Eastridge's] concerns."

As part of the research for his thesis, "The New Nazi Army: How the U.S. military is allowing the far right to join its ranks," Kennard used the Freedom of Information Act to obtain from the Army's Criminal Investigative Division investigative reports concerning white supremacist activity in 2006 and 2007. They show that Army commanders repeatedly terminated investigations of suspected extremist activity in the military despite strong evidence it was occurring. This evidence was often provided by regional Joint Terrorism Task Forces, which are made up of FBI and state and local law enforcement officials.

For example, one CID report details a 2006 investigation of a suspected member of the Hammerskins, a multi-state racist skinhead gang, who was stationed at Fort Hood, a large Army base in central Texas. According to the report, there was "probable cause" to believe that the soldier "had participated in a white extremist meeting and also provided a military technical manual 31-210, Improvised Munitions Handbook, to the leader of a white extremist group in order to assist in the planning and execution of future attacks on various targets."

The report shows that agents only interviewed the subject once, in November 2006, before Fort Hood higher-ups called off the investigation that December.

On his website, Nazis In The Military, in the DOCUMENTS section, Matthew Kennard, this former Columbia U investigative journalism student, includes the documents (obtained through the Freedom of Information Act) from CID which prove they stopped investigations

This is horrifying! The knowledge that white supremacists are signing up to represent Americans in combat situations and are taking joy in shooting innocents is simply...inconceivable. I cannot grasp this mentality, never have, never will.

Jill, thanx for your continued efforts to bring enlightenment to all.

These are frightening details in the big picture I see before us, which is why my comments all too often start with "I'm not surprised". When I was watching parts of the Republican convention, watching Amy Goodman being arrested, I looked at these huge masses of "peace keeping" officers. They are truly scary, like an army of Darth Vaders, and they like that. One was asked how he felt about what he was doing and the reply was "awesome". And that's here, in "the land of the free". I can only imagine the extent horrors they inflict on the "real enemy"! What we already KNOW is heart-rending.

What is really frightening here - in addition to the harm that these extremists can and do cause wherever they are serving, furthering their cause among US military personnel and turning US military missions into racist bloodbaths - is that my two sources are independent media which means that this is NOT being run by major or mainstream media :

Alternet got this from the Southern Poverty Law Center's online "Intelligence Report" - "Hate Watch" - neither of which gets the kind of exposure that CNN or NYTimes coverage would !

The danger and alarm signals are not going out to the largest number of people !

Only 40 Congress people called for action back in 2006...and nothing happened ! Have they now even heard about the FBI report, which shows that the threat has increased ?

? How to Control People ? by Geradus Grist

Keep them Dumb - Keep them Poor - Keep them Busy.
The most important part of it all is to tell them that they are free!

Most Governments of the World are puppets of the Secret Government.
Is this Good - is this Bad - is this Necessary - is this Inevitable?
The right answer depends on your level of awareness.

The World Conglomerates traded their Soul for Money and Power.
By creating a world full of slaves by means of mind-control
they are in the process of de-souling mankind.

Next to nothing is going to stop them
except a global catastrophe or the awakening of the masses.
My bet is on the awakening of the people.

Sixty years ago the USA rejected Fascism.
Presently the USA Cabal is working very hard to embrace it.
Is the USA the continuation of the Third Reich?

Is it worthwhile to live as a robot and think that one is free?
Suppose the USA eventually controls the entire world
will that eliminate all wars and is it worth it?

Thx Jill! We need to wake up as many as we can before the madness escalates.

THESE are the ones who "execute" any American soldier who doesn't seem too enthusiastic about the war.
THESE are the ones who, after getting training at OUR, taxpayers', expense, LEAVE the Army and join the highly-paid, well-armed-and-equipped-far-better-than-US-troops CONTRACTORS. MERCENARIES. {Which THE GOVERNMENT IS PAYING AT SEVERAL TIMES THE RATE IT IS PAYING ITS OWN TROOPS!}
And,
THESE are the ones who will be USED AGAINST US when our govt thinks it's the right time to really "crack down" on us dissenters. St.Paul was only a SMALL FORETASTE.
This is VERY SERIOUS. It should be made known ALL OVER CARE2 AND THE INTERNET.
Evangelical Christians, of the most Fundamentalist stripe, are making GREAT INROADS IN THE MILITARY ALSO; and non-believers in that particular faith, and people of other faiths, are being OPENLY HARASSED AND PRESSURED TO JOIN.This is ALSO a PART OF THIS PICTURE.

OUR MILITARY DOES NOT REPRESENT US ANY MORE.The FACE of the American Military abroad, and, VERY SOON, HERE, is the face of SADISM, RACISM, AND OPEN FASCISM. Our "heroes" will all be dead; THESE GUYS KNOW HOW TO SURVIVE AND DOMINATE. Our attempts at overseas "glory" and "conquest" {and "cheap oil"} will INEVITABLY RESULT IN THE CONQUEST OVER WHAT REMAINS OF AMERICAN DEMOCRACY. "Blow-back", it's called.

TELL YOUR CONGRESSPERSON TO STOP FUNDING THE MILITARY.
BRING ALL TROOPS HOME IMMEDIATELY. FROM AFGHANISTAN TOO.
NO PERMANENT BASES IN IRAQ.
When a Democratic Congress is elected, PRESSURE THEM LIKE MAD. Don't give them a free ride! Tell them: NO FUNDING FOR THE MILITARY. STOP IT. STOP FUNDING. They get to have that say-so every year.
There is certainly enough there now, to bring ALL troops home SAFELY AND IN GOOD ORDER. And IMMEDIATELY.
Funding the illegal war and Occupation, is only funding CONTRACTORS, MERCENARIES-FOR-HIRE, AND WHITE SUPREMACISTS WHO SHOOT-ON-SIGHT. Anybody who isn't like THEM.
The whole United States will be like the South was under lynch-law. When these guys come home and are USED HERE to enforce "order". That will be OUR "blow-back" from this little adventure.

Thanks for your comment, BMutiny.
I thought this would really get people roused and riled up, but so few of us have reacted to this news and so few of seem to be interested in what is for me a terrible threat !

These people are tricky and scary. Years ago, a boyfriend and I were invited to a barbeque. Later we were all invited to the kitchen table and given some of the most hate filled garbage I had ever seen on a piece of paper. These hatemongers were recruiting new members! We couldn't get out of there fast enough. What a horrible thing to do to innocent people. Thanks, Jill, good post.

Nazis are filth, that is a truth that can be backed up by hard evidence.I have scoured the far right websites and chatrooms, and they are places of collective delusion..all worldly phenomena is analyzed through the distorted prism of race hatred, and ZOG conspiracy theories (Zionist Occupational Governments).
Well as an inheritor of a Jewish sirname, with only a relatively recent break in the Jewish line,I am somehow missing out on the benefits of global control. My ancesters were relatively poor, often unskilled factory workers,as no shekels were handed down through generations.
A couple of snippets to add to this story, which may or may not be well known amongst intelligent American's ...(1)neo-nazis have become heavily involved, in the groups which patrol the Mexican border..it figures really,as such activity could provide a fertile recruiting ground for idiot-groups.Also nazis like nothing better than to attack people of "different"ethnicity.Alex Jones was somewhat less than accurate/liberal/fair,in his recent attacks on Mexicans too,by the way..
One neo-nazi group,is involved in "operation lone wolf "otherwise known as "operation ,lone brain cell".This involves nazis covertly infiltrating powerful public bodies, and working towards promotion.Once in positions of power, they intend to put nazi policies into operation.
These methods were openly discussed, in the documentary "American Skinheads" by nazis. The police are well aware, of the border control problems mentioned above.

PS ,neo-nazis would happily infiltrate sites like this one too.Im not really a conspiracy theorist, nor particularly paranoid, but I have been studying the far right for a long time.
The British National Party in the UK are covert nazis, using the cloak of democracy and respectability to spread ideas..and like other nazis, they wish to convince society of their "fears"about immigration..they have used front organisations, and mainstream, and even alternative forums to deliver a toned down message.
What the covert nazis dont say is "sieg heil" or "kill the jews",but they think it,and say it in private..
Shame on Rumsfeldt and the neo-cons for allowing, and even encouraging nazis to join the security services in Iraq.

If a white supremacist or a member of the Nazi party is suspected of some criminal activity, then of coure he should be investigated. However, just because he happens to be a Nazi or a supremacist doesn't mean he shouldn't be allowed to serve in the military. Freedom of political thought doesn't only mean freedom for those whose politics we agree with - it only means something if it also protects those whose political beliefs we abhor.

As a vet of the Kuwait Liberation (Round 1 of this mess in the Gulf) and can say first hand that I to have seen racism in the military, though what I saw was mostly passive. This is both sad and disappointing but not shocking especially considering the state of our nation.

Keep up the good work Jill!

This is the very reason on that one poll I voted for, don't ask don't tell.
My sister is a retired Commander from the Navy and she once told us that those who tell could get thrown overboard and nobody would know. They just get listed as MIA, or accidentally fell overboard:(

Not really a surprise if you know it was Jeb Bush that would be Grandpa to George was the one who originally funded Hitler and his crew.
Jeb was nearly kicked out of congress for that.
And Hitler gave 2 of his special friends a special medal 1 was for Mussolini the other was for Mr Ford.
The same Mr Ford who treated his workers so brutally they actually started the first Union in America.

Thanks, Rinie, for the historical perspective. If only our journalists did their homework and told the whole story on on events and candidates, what a better informed population we would have and our democracy would benefit so much !

My reaction, though, is that whatever the pro-nazi background and/or preferences of the Bush family, we are not supposed to be living in a dictatorship, so these preferences should not influence the recruitment of US military personnel.

Military leaders should be acting to root out right-wing extremists who are a danger to the operations they participate in, a danger to their fellow service men/women, a danger to Iraqi & Afghan civilians, a danger for the international status of the US, a danger for our country !
And they should be making sure that recruitment procedures weed them out before any news ones are able to join up.

And if current military leaders are unwilling or unable to weed out the extremist recruits already in the armed forces and unwilling or unable to change recruitment procedures to make sure they are not allowed in, then those military leaders should be replaced.

If we feel strongly about this issue, we should write to our representatives and senators in congress !

Actually, Renie - Ford was a progressive when it came to employee issues. He instituted a minimum wage which was twice the average in industry. And many other things to benefit his workers. Check out the following link (and there are others on the web which talk about the subject too):

http://www.americanheritage.com/events/articles/web/20060105-henry-ford-five-dollar-day-model-t-ford-motor-company-assembly-line-james-couzens-highland-park-detroit-automobiles.shtml

I agree he was a racist, an anti-Semite, and a rather stupid person. I agree that he supported all sorts of horrible ideas and ideologies. But he did do some good things for his workers.
