From the article:

Via Newsbusters, a little taste of liberal desperation as the left tries to jumpstart another trivial gravity-defying attack-pander on Romney for the benefit of middle-class voters. (Alas, poor Big Bird, we knew ye well.) On Saturday, Paul Ryan swung by a soup kitchen in Youngstown, Ohio after a campaign event; the event had run long, past the time when the kitchen was serving breakfast, so he ended up washing dishes for them instead. Except — the dishes were already clean. The whole thing was a fraud, just like Mitt Romney and the GOP and their pretensions to relate in any way to the working-class voters who are poised to throw Barack Obama out of office. Why, I bet those aren’t even real arrows that Paul Ryan uses when he goes hunting.

Essentially, this dumb meme was a variation of the equally dumb attack on Bush 41 for supposedly being amazed when he saw a supermarket scanner in action. In both cases, the point was to show the Republican “out of touch” with average Americans. And in both cases, it was based on a lie. Bush 41 had seen supermarket scanners before, and Paul Ryan was indeed washing dirty dishes.

Brian J. Antag, president of the Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society, said that he was not contacted by the Romney campaign ahead of the Saturday morning visit by Ryan, who stopped by the soup kitchen after a town hall at Youngstown State University.
“We’re a faith-based organization; we are apolitical because the majority of our funding is from private donations,” Antag said in a phone interview Monday afternoon. “It’s strictly in our bylaws not to do it. They showed up there and they did not have permission. They got one of the volunteers to open up the doors.”

He added: “The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate. He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.”

From the Youngstown Vindicator (http://www.vindy.com/news/2012/oct/16/soup-kitchen-visit-by-ryan-stirs-anger/):

“Juanita Sherba, St. Vincent’s Saturday coordinator for the dining hall, said she gave the Ryan campaign approval that day for the visit by the candidate and his family.

“Despite some media reports, Sherba said Ryan and his family washed a few dirty pots and pans, but it wasn’t necessary.”

And from NBC (http://firstread.nbcnews.com/_news/2012/10/16/14485409-ryan-did-wash-dirty-dishes-during-soup-kitchen-visit):

“In response to questions about Antal’s comments to the Washington Post that Ryan ‘did nothing’ while at the soup kitchen, Antal said his words were mischaracterized. He told NBC News in that Ryan did very little work only compared to the larger context of Saturday morning, when the kitchen fed 180 homeless people breakfast. Antal conceded that Ryan did wash several dirty dishes.”

Charity president unhappy about Paul Ryan soup kitchen ‘photo op’

"Brian J. Antal, president of the Mahoning County St. Vincent De Paul Society, said that he was not contacted by the Romney campaign ahead of the Saturday morning visit by Ryan, who stopped by the soup kitchen after a town hall at Youngstown State University.

He added: “The photo-op they did wasn’t even accurate. He did nothing. He just came in here to get his picture taken at the dining hall.” Antal later told NBC News that Ryan had cleaned some dirty dishes; his original comment was based on secondhand information from a volunteer. Ryan has no soul and cerainly cares nothing at NOTHING for the people he disregarded and invalidated by barging in to do his

Ryan had stopped by the soup kitchen for about 15 minutes on his way to the airport after his Saturday morning town hall in Youngstown. By the time he arrived, the food had already been served, the patrons had left, and the hall had been cleaned.

Upon entering the soup kitchen, Ryan, his wife and three young children greeted and thanked several volunteers, then donned white aprons and offered to clean some dishes. Photographers snapped photos and TV cameras shot footage of Ryan and his family washing pots and pans that did not appear to be dirty."

You cannot currently send a star to Jae because you have done so within the last week.

Republicans are NOT conservatives by any stretch of the imagination. Conservative is a stolen term. . .like all the other key words and phrases their little re-definers steal to twist and deceive [they ARE NOT wordsmiths as they are so fond of calling themselves]. The GOP is a RADICAL conglomerate organization fueled by deceit and deprivation born of fear, greed and infinite stupidity.

You want to start some warped society. . .go find a large island and BUY it with your hoarded greed mounds and leave REAL HUMAN ALONE FOREVER. . .IMPOSTERS.

Until a photo-op, Paul Ryan never actually washed anything, most likely ever. In addition, this soup kitchen is losing donations because of Ryan's unannounced, disruptive visit. Give me a break.
