I don't know why the script was so messed up. I spent a half hour trying to make it right. Anyway, here is the entire petition.

Home use of the pesticide chlorpyrifos was banned over a decade ago because science showed it harms to children’s developing brains and nervous systems — including reduced IQ and increased risk of autism. Yet use in agricultural fields across the country continues.

The science is now even stronger. Recent studies show the same risks. Yet the EPA is — inexcusably — proposing that use of the chemical continues.

Residues of this toxic pesticide are found on many fruits and vegetables, including common childhood favorites like grapes, apples and peaches. Children in rural areas are particularly at risk, since the pesticide can also drift from fields into nearby homes and schools — a risk EPA consistently underestimates.

It’s high time for EPA to take action protecting children, workers and communities across the country from this harmful chemical. The EPA is taking comments on its latest review of the health risks of chlorpyrifos. Please sign the online petition today that the UFW and a coalition of groups will hand to EPA Administrator Gina McCarthy in mid-March.

Thank you for signing our petition to the US EPA regarding chlorpyrifos.

Robert, for the last several months we've had all sorts of trouble posting news. Although the news is a lot better to post once more, what was left is what you speak about above.

Don't place any punctuation marks in the title. Instead of children's you must write childrens. It isn't proper but it is how one must do it now to prevent the issue you see.

Signed with a comment! I live in a farming state. I am new to this state and am shocked by the high number of facilities we have that serve children and adults with handicaps. We also have "dirty industry" here. Human lives are being sacrificed to business profit. I am mad about that. It is wrong. Good people everywhere need to stand up to corporations and just say, "NO!"

As of now it is the only thing that works against spidermites which can literallly wipe out entire crops and gardens in the case of an outbreak. 3 years ago spidermites completely killed my entire garden while I was on vacation for 10 days. They like dry, moderate temperatures in sheltered areas where they get a start and only way to see them is to tap a leaf over a white sheet of paper. looks like tiny specs of dust moving on the paper. They also claimed half a neighbors soybean fields that year because nobody was expecting spidermite infestations. Those of us that did spray saved the crops, but using a low dosage. Does it make some applicators sick? yes if spend more than a day spraying. I don't like using it, but it's not something that is done every year anyways. More in area of every 3 to 6 yrs and only due to spidermite and or soybean aphid infestations. Take note gardeners, Pyrethroids have no control against spidermites, it actually just pisses them off, end up producing more females.
