After it dawned on him, U.S. Marine Corps Major General Smedley Butler, wrote a book called "War is a Racket" which I can virtually guarantee you never heard about in school.

(a short extract from chapter 4).

The only way to smash this racket is to conscript capital and industry and labor before the nations manhood can be conscripted. One month before the Government can conscript the young men of the nation it must conscript capital and industry and labor. Let the officers and the directors and the high-powered executives of our armament factories and our munitions makers and our shipbuilders and our airplane builders and the manufacturers of all the other things that provide profit in war time as well as the bankers and the speculators, be conscripted to get $30 a month, the same wage as the lads in the trenches get.

It used to be that if we were having economic difficulties, we would go to war in order to stimulate the economy.

We could have done the same with the space program that we are now with greening of America.

War has and will always be as much of a raquet as politics.. Because it is all about politics, nothing else.

I believe the global effort to go green and change our habits will do much to stem war. There are always those who thrive on war because they are power hungry. But we should see fewer wars if we have more jobs globally, if we concentrate on other things. Like food in a drought climate.

Thank you Gregory! War is a big money maker for some. If only all the money wasted on war and the heartache and suffering it causes, were spent on good, peaceful, and humanitarian efforts, how wonderful our lives could be.God bless everyone.

Excellent article my friend Gregory! This is so right on, so sadly true...I am glad that you brought this news here, awareness about the truth is always good to know.

I only wish that it weren't true, that our own govt. wouldn't be so corrupt as to do this to their own citizens...We really aren't free, think about it.

TY again Gregory, duly noted.
Blessings to us all,
