Solar lamp is eco-friendly and is affordable. Oil lamps cause a lot of pollution; carbon emission is high. Thanks for sharing this news. It will be of great help for people of the third world countries. Solar power is already being used for various purposes in India like, rural electrification, for agricultural support---solar pumping systems, solar water heaters. Solar lanterns and solar powered home-lights are installed in some towns. 20 Million solar lamps are expected to be launched in India by 2022.
