Some people don't want to learn about others. They have a pre-existing belief and nothing will change their minds.

Thank you, good friends.
Green stars to all of you.

Carol, I agree. We can enrichen ourselves,by learning about people, who are different to us; and as long as our intentions are sincere, we will be guided, and able to differentiate which information we receive, is false and, which is, the truth.

Peace to all. Lots of love and blessings to ALL Peoples of the World and Thank You, to all those who, noted, read, commented and forwarded.

Dearest Mary, God Almighty bless and reward you. You have done a good thing. I hope and pray that openminded persons choosing to read this, will feel encouraged to learn even more about this magnificent Prophet of Islam. There is so much to share, about how he handled everydays challenges, how kindly and patiently he dealt with the corrupt of his time, how inspiring he was, and how he won people over to Islam, not by preaching, but by perfect example of a human being in every way.Thank God for people who are willing to come to this post and be an example to others who haven't understood that our differences, if anything, can and should bring us closer as a human race, not segregate us. We all should strive to be like our great Prophets, who taught us to embrace education, to learn and understand the facts, and then choose and follow the truth our heart and mind is at ease with and convinced by,even if we differ, while we allow others to do the same. That is what this Great Messenger has taught mankind. It is all about peace, love and justice for all. Thank you so much Mary.. :)

Very informative.
I am Spiritual Humanist but we do not believe in ignorance, thank you for the educational post. Our American government does not like for us to know their enemies. When I was growing up in America, we were not even taught what Russians looked like as they were afraid we would not kill people who looked like us in battle. I like to understand all people and their beliefs, this makes them 'more human' to me.
Everyone should learn more about others and have respect for their cultures.

John c - the american government being a super-power should actually
Play a role of bringing ALL the peoples of the world together, instead
Of dividing people, according to religion and creating hatred amongst,
And for, one another. We are all human beings and should never lose our
Love and compassion for one another; due to the governments
Propaganda and hostility to those that are not prepared to do its biddding.

John, Wooddragon and Abu Ahmed, for your good comments.

Life is all about Love, Caring and Sharing with each other;
Friends who love you, for WHO you are ; and support you through
Thick and Thin. In reality, We all are Loving, spiritual beings; the earth
Was created for, All of Mankind;
This world is a temporary world; we all will
Die one day; we wil go alone and empty handed; the only thing
We wil take are, our Good Deeds to OTHERS, and the love for All
Creation. Service to GOD's Creation, is Service to GOD Almighty.

I believe in, Love, Justice and Peace for, ALL Peoples of this world,
Irrelevant of Religion, Country, Race and Culture.

Blessings to All of Mankind.

We are ALL Creations of GOD Almighty; and HIS Teachings are so full of love,forgiveness and mercy; I wish ignorant people would, sincerely make an attempt to understand HIS verses, instead of, falsifying them to suit their own evil agendas.

I have a confession to make: I love all Jews, all Christians, All Muslims, All Peoples of all other Religions and Atheists. Period.

Blessings and love to ALL OF MANKIND.

A Big thank you from the bottom of my Heart to JACLIN , CARRIE and All those
Who made time to Note, forward and READ the TRUTH of this ICON,
Who was a Prophet, Head of first Muslim State, Warrior, Soldier, Statesman, Orator,
Selfless and Sincere Friend, Perfect Guide, Graceful Companion,
Loving Teacher, An Impartial Judge, Philosoper, Reformer and Administrator.

He never sat an inch above the place where his followers used to sit,
Or ate a morsle more than His Companions or wore, what was superior,
Than what others used to wear. He sat in such a simple attire and
Mixed up so freely and simply with all the common people, that
The foreign delegations visiting his capital used to inquire from others
As to who is the Prophet of Islam. He was so trust-worthy and truthful,that
Even His enemies ,before He attained Prophethood, acknowledged,
That He was a Man of Truth.

He uprooted all evils from the society, raised woman from the status
Of a chattel to a complete legal EQUALITY with man,

Noted and I wouldn't mind reading the Qu'ran if I can get a copy in English. It has teachings I do agree with unlike the Catholic Bible and nowhere does it say about the headwear for the women. I'd love to read this one that is mentioned in here. Even my cousin, brought up a devout Catholic has been reading it and that says something to me!

First of all, thank you Abdessalam, for sending this to me. I found it to be enlightening... especially that it contains references to other beliefs know by us. It would be truly interesting to know the full beliefs and teachings of all the religions. I am not a religious person any more, but consider myself spiritual. I have taken from the lessons I learned in Sunday School as a child, because at that time, our lessons were about the good, love, compassion and peace to all living things, not the judgment, hate and self-righteousness that religions seem to promote in today's world. I can't believe in a God that is promoted as such.

Thank you, Mary P, for offering this biography. We have much in common in that I can say I wholly believe as you when you say, "I believe in, Love, Justice and Peace for, ALL Peoples of this world, Irrelevant of Religion, Country, Race and Culture."

Live; unite instead of divide; Love instead of Hate.

ABDESSALAM - jazakallah for Barbara's beautiful message. It shows, there are many many
Good and decent Creations of GOD Almighty, all over the world, who know , TRUTH from

Thanks for the information Mary. I am currently readng the Koran and the Bible. Both books adds to my peace of mind and contentment. Those who say religion is the cause of wars really mean the organized religion that is used by the state as a coverup to promote wars and evil in general. Neither book promote fanaticism.

Thank YOU Terrance , for making an effort to Read Both Revelations; it
Is SUCH A GREAT IDEA; to understand the LOVE of GOD Almighty;
HIS MERCY ; HIS FORGIVENESS ; What does HE really Want from all
HIS Creation; HIS constant Condemnation of INJUSTICES by humans
to fellow
Human beings; HIS Love of wanting us to give Charity, sharing with those
That don't have; HE would be displeased at us, IF we filled our
Tummy while our NEIGHBOURS( believers of GOD and non believers in GOD)
Were starving; according to GOD's Teachings Every Neighbour has
RIGHTS too, we are not to trouble , hasrass or even chase their Dog
If it comes into your yard;

The Part that over-whelms me about
GOD Almighty, is HIS LOVE and MERCY for EVEN THOSE who
HATE GOD and DISBELIEVE that GOD Exist; look at HOW HE still
Provides Shellter, Food, Clothing , Good Health to them, and
Fulfills most of their Needs too,!!! Isn't that something???
HE LOVES and CARES for All
HIS Creations; that's a Lesson we ALL should follow
And Lead by setting examples to others;

Let's emulate, the teachings of All, the Messengers of GOD ,and live
A Life that GOD Almighty truly WANTS us to Lead; one of love,
Compassion, caring and sharing, non violence,
Peace and Equality.

GOD does not look at what we wear or how we look BUT at what's
In our HEARTS and our INTENTIONS. HE says Piety is how much
We love HiM and how Close
We become to HIM; and that is something, only HE knows; its
Between the CREATOR and ,that Individual Creation of HIS.

My Prayers for all BELIEVERS, IN GOD ALMIGHTY, is that,
GOD grants each and every one of us, HIS LOVE, HIS CLOSENESS,
And HIS INTIMATE FRIENDSHIP. Inshallah (if GOD Wills). Ameen.

Remember UNITED we Stand; DIVIDED we Fall !!!

I just came across this article and loved the TRUTH of these words and wish to share it with all readers who might have MISSED it. :-

"
Adapted from How to Know God, by Deepak Chopra (Three Rivers Press, 2000).

The state of “I am” is at the source, and is pure being. “I am” forgoes pain and pleasure. Because all desire is centered on pain and pleasure, it comes as a surprise to find out that what I wanted all along was just to be. There are many kinds of worthwhile lives to lead. Is it worthwhile to lead the life of “I am”? You can live any way you want. By analogy, think of the world as a movie that includes everything; you cannot tell in any way that it is a movie; therefore, everyone behaves as if the scenario is real.

If you suddenly woke up and realized that nothing around you was real, what would you do? First of all, certain things would happen involuntarily. You wouldn’t be able to take other people’s drama seriously. The smallest irritants and the greatest tragedies, a pebble in your shoe and World War II, become equally unreal. Your detachment might set you apart, but you could keep it to yourself.

Motivation would also vanish, because there’s nothing to achieve in a dreamworld. Poverty is as good as a million dollars when it’s all play money. Emotional attachments would also drop away, since no one’s personality is real anymore. After you consider all these changes, not much choice is left. The end of illusion is the end of experience as we know it. What do you receive in exchange? Only reality, pure and unvarnished.

You shouldn’t pay so much attention to the movie."

A little more information I wish to share with all my great friends:-

"Some of the verses of the Quran are decisive, clear to understand - they are the basis of the Book - and others are allegorical. Those in whose hearts is perversity follow the part that is allegorical, SEEKING to MISLEAD, and SEEKING to give it (THEIR OWN) Interpretation.

It is IMPORTANT to note that with regard to the translations of the Quran on which most of the misconceptions and allegations against Islam have been based, it must be made clear that no synod of learned men were ever commissioned to produce an authentic translation of the Quran from the original Arabic into English or any other language. The existent translations are the result of the efforts of individual translators from time to time, each of whom has put his own meaning to the words, and given interpretation to the context according to his own ideas. It must also be realized that apart from the fact that the Quran is written in several dialects the Arabic language itself is such that the slightest change of vowel points and accent entirely alters the meaning and significance of a sentence, and it is painful to see the MUTILATIONS and MISREPRESENTATIONS, SOME due to HONEST MISTAKES owing to lack of familiarity with idiomatic expressions of the language, and OTHERS due to P REJUDICE and VENOM against the Muslims and ISLAM.

It is a recognised fact of history that in the Dark Ages, TRUTH was constantly PERVERTED for the SAKE of POLITICAL ENDS. To this day, wherever scientific thought has not infused a new soul, wherever true culture has not gained a foothold, the old spirit of exclusiveness and intolerance, the old ecclesiastic HATRED of ISLAM, displays itself in WRITINGS, in NEWSPAPER ATTACKS, in private conversations and in public speeches."

I personally feel deep respect for Muhammad and often read about his life and words. I have many Muslims friends that I adore, they have thought me much of their culture, as much as I have shared mine (Catholic). We enjoy learning from each other and I know they respect Jesus too, so our sharing experiences are always based in mutual respect and interest for each other.

People who say that wars are caused by religion are incorrect-- wars are caused by people who claim to believe in a religion-- and by those who admit to none, too. Religion is an excuse, as in "the troubles" in Ireland, now hopefully consigned to history. It is a psad truth that many of the wars have been started by "people of the Book" -- Christians, Jews and Muslims -- and often against each other-- and who should all know better.
