This Is What Happens When A Journalist Forces A Banker To Actually Answer A Question

It's hard not to appreciate how thoroughly Irish journalist Vincent Browne shuts down these banker's multiple attempts to weasel their way out of answering his questions. Don't miss a short speech that does journalists everywhere proud at 1:40, and find out what left our hapless banker friends at a loss for words at 3:18.
Mansur Gidfar

ORIGINAL: By Vincent Browne.

Angelika, I laughed out loud. Too true! My cousin sent me this this morning, glad to see it posted. I'm also happy for Ireland that it has a male Elizabeth Warren. Sort of.

Much thanks, J.L. Well, that was an extremely pleasant few minutes....for me. Now, if only other journalists would take a cue from Mr. Browne, (inset 3 cheers here), and start asking more tough questions without being interrupted and distracted by the person being questioned. He was determined, specific, and not going to pushed aside. It would give me so much to see this happen on a regular basis....

WOW! I haven't seen anything so embarrassing as this in a long time;thanks for this.
At this point, the audience should have walked out.

Don't you just love banker doubletalk? Do you get the feeling if someone asked that banker any question at all like "What color are your wife's eyes? The banker would have responded with "I believe it is raining outside." ? Wouldn't it be interesting if lightning struck these guys every time when asked a question they evaded answering it or just flat lied? Be quite a light show I do believe.

Kudos for the hard questions. Our American journalists are a bunch of pansies; haven't got the intestinal fortitude to call out a politician or "spokesman/woman" for bold faced lies and/or evasions for fear of loss of access. Who cares if one loses access is all you hear is lies and BS. Besides it's the politicos who need the access to get out their BS. The main stream reporters have publicized the most moronic statements without question as if it were coming from the "mount'.

Yes you had one Helen Thomas, and the President made sure she never got another call and ended up relegated to the back of the pack whilst the rest of the gutless journalists accepted calls to put "Dorothy Dixers" instead of sitting there until Helen was given an opportunity. It should have been "One out All out."

A great video I instantly shared on FB! I wish there were more in the media willing to pursue a real answer instead of accepting what they're told. Thanks for posting!

I wish we had more journalists like Vincent Browne in the US. We have a few, but they never seem to be able to ask the questions we need answered.

I love this guy!! I think I would have raised my hand and asked the very same question to prove the point that we wanted an actual answer to the question!
