Please join PETA in taking action that will have a lasting impact and help us expand our educational efforts in China itself. The future of animal welfare in China depends on a change of attitude in the country.

Have sent letters cos my emails were rejected.

I agree that any fundamental change can only come about through education on animal welfare. That's why I also support HSI, PETA, Duo Duo Animal Welfare Project, Bo Ai Animal Protection Centre of Guangyuan, TACN (Together for Animals in China) and others.

Good to find so many like-minded caring people here on care2 ! We are all part of the 11 million people who signed petitions on this!

We must all continue to sign petitions and support all the individuals and groups in china and internationally who work to educate the china people on animal welfare and against dog meat.

Dont forget Korea is also a huge dog- eating country , also eating dogs throughout the year , and with over 1000 dogmeat restaurants in Seoul. Please sign the petitions against dog-eating in Korea.

I have sign dozens of petitions against this to no avail. It is obvious the governments are not listening. We are battling a cultural scenario that will be difficult to break and on top of it we in the US are just a bit hypocritical because we haven't cleaned up our own messes. Treatment of domesticated and wild animals is disgusting everywhere thanks to human ignorance and stupidity.

Agree with you about the cruelty to animals everywhere Thomas.
I believe the international outcry over the years against dog torture and dog eating in china has led to awareness in china itself and activism by china people. It will take years to educate people in china where animal welfare is something new. But we and they have to start somewhere. I believe in continuing to sign petitions, take part in protests, and support animal welfare groups in china n internationally.

Thomas, you are so right on.
Human ignorance.., you have said it best.

So many petitions and the gov. is not listening. But we have to keep trying. I have seen a few stories where people have saved numerous dogs, but only a small fraction. At least they are getting educated and protesting to an extent.

Thank you Adeline
