A foresighted, self-sustaining, self-respecting country considers it's children's education the country's primary investment. We insult ourselves and our children by pay-as-you-go education. Blessed be the children who are fixing it for us!

Whenever I see the name of Naomi Klein, my favorite northern neighbor, I know I must stop and pay attention. Couldn't be clearer : efficient light bulbs and "green" products make us feel better so we won't address the real problem.

Indicating that ISIS is in the Levant, where we're going to "destroy" it, suggests the ignorance and absurdity of the US position. Drones can break people's hearts and make them want revenge, but "destroy" only a mother's peace of mind. A run-away ego.

Chomsky is not always fun to read, but he's always straight, always researched, always well written, and most of all, he heroically stares crime in its face. I grieve for us, pray for us.

Peaceful way to solve a war situation is to go back and look at the causes and discuss them with the offending party, get down to the roots of the trouble, and arrange for justice and remediation..
