Scary stuff. Not that it's surprising that things of this ilk have longer lasting repercussions that aren't evident on the surface -- of course the Roundup will sink into and stay in the ground -- but the severity of the reaction in sitll scary.

This is definitely an article to share. We are hoping to boost the amount of contacts from everyday people to the USDA.

Monsanto should be voted the most evil company on earth for what they are trying to do to our food supply for profit.

Monsanto needs to be ripped apart shredded and burnt , it and it's products are a blight on society and must be stopped , the people who work for monsanto have no moral values all they see is dollar signs clicking through their eyes. They have no feelings at all for the health of the environment or anything in it and they don't care what their crap products do to the people who eat and use them... A POX ON monsanto AND ALL WHO WORK FOR IT. May they all go off somewhere and happily drown in pools of their own making....

I really can't understand our present administration, Secretary Vilsack Dept. of Agriculture, when it comes to these types of issues. Even the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation with the issue of corn shipped off to African nations. I don't understand why all the government and powerful forces that seemingly approve of Monsanto and their plans. Now, I know farmers in my area thast are using Monsanto alfalfa seeds less than two miles from my house. Of course it isn't the GMO roundup ready alfalfa, but what makes the public think they won't go that direction once it's approed. Many farmers around here have a rabid distate for environmentalists. They have been bitten by the conservative bug and can't distinguish danger from politics. The knee jerk reaction of these farmers is very possible. But when the Genie is taken out of the bottle , it may be too late to reverse the damage. They are messing with fire!

Great write up on the notorious Monsanto. I sign every petition around to stop them. It really bothers me that they seem so powerful.

I signed the letter to Sec Vilsack. Normally, I never add anything to the text of these letters because I don't figure anyone is actually going to read them, but I did add to this one and it gave me the idea for what would seem a very good slogan to add to ALL letters and petitions and any communications to government agencies about GM and GMO foods/crops. I added in capital letters: YOU EAT THIS FOOD TOO!

From now on, every time I send anything about this to any agency I will add that line in capital letters on the outside chance that they might see it.

.........................YOU EAT THIS FOOD TOO!

Thanks for this post Keith! Agree wholeheartedly with all the posts here! Monsanto has become all powerful and has rampaged across our planet causing devastation to all living things. They have unscrupulously sued farmers for using 'their' seeds even though the farmers have had nothing to do with it. The wind blew the seeds onto their property. They are the worst sort of thugs. They don't know the long range effects of their 'experiments' and they don't care. They are trying to take over the seed industry worldwide and we must preserve our native seeds as much as we can. We must fight this company by boycotting their 'products' as much as possible and by giving them continued and sustained 'bad press'. Anything, in fact, to make people aware of their insidious 'take overs'.

Not Monsanto again, it is never ending, How many farmers were sucked into helping those greedy barstards to destroy our foodchain and poison us at the same time. One day when Americans had enough, there will be a class action. Guess what, the layers and polititions will fight for them (Monsanto), for a price of course. Look at the tabacco industrie, it is still booming, why? The taxman will get his huge cut and polititions live in luxury like the ceo's that feed them.
