Thank god these places are all closed as of now. They can't kill our horses now! But we must keep fighting to keep them from shipping them across the borders to either Canada or Mexico, either. There are bills/petitions on here about that. Look up horse slaughter on the petition site and sign all you find!!!!!!!!

I went to a kill auction last Saturday. So many went I could not save. THere are some rescues in this state acting as brokers for a kill buyer. They say they are saving the animals, but are lining the pockets of the kill buyer, who will just do it again. Makes me ill and ashamed of them. Biliking the public for atrocious funds when it would cost so much less to save them at auction.

I received a letter from my Senator yesterday. He stated he was supporting not letting them be transported out of the Country. Now, I just have to keep my fingers crossed that other Senators will be as compassionate as Senator Specter of Pa. Gosh, it's Easter and I wanted some peace on these issues. But, as Rebecca stated, "The fight goes on" !

This is simply put sooooooooo wrong! ! It's not only the fact that these horses deserve better, it's not only the fact that their owners have to take such a loss on them, why is it that they are treated with such respect and honor when they are going to end up in this manner? Is it because for them to live a quiet, peacefull life simply by grazing in a pastur too much for anyone to ask? Is it simply a matter of dollars and cents that the owner is after. Unless the horse performs and makes major dollars that horse is no longer of value, thus we simply do away with this gorgrouse animal, this grand animal that was so revered for so long, was treated with special care since it's birth. Only to end it's life in this manor. It's not right in any form that anyone looks at it. Making it not right does not undue the cercumstances.
Is there hope for thise animals? Will this be undone and un-necessary in the future? I certainly hope so, I will definately try to the best of my best while I'm here on this earth; while I'm still alive and able to accomplish something purposfull.

This must be stopped. Time, effort and determination. How many other practices which are illeagal for US citizens are carried out on US soil for foreign companies? Strange. Holly T

This is so sad. When will this end. The slaughter of these blessed souls need not to be. And they call themselves human? To slaughter is inhumane and no human with a good soul would do such a thing.

It's hard to believe that anyone with a heart could do this to such beautiful animals. Just think how much horses have done for man throughout history. This has to stop! BARBARIC!

This just makes me sick. What the hell does it take?!? We have fought hard and have had some great results. But, somehow there is always a way around things. This AGAIN is all for the sake of the all mighty dollar and to hell with how you make it Well, we will just have to keep on keeping on!

This is heartbreaking AND disgusting--it reaches both ends of the spectrum of human emotions! It's heartbreaking when I think of these wonderful creatures having to suffer at the hands of barbaric, greedy money-grubbers and disgusting that it's still being allowed to happen ANYWHERE, in any way, shape or form. We have to beat this! The entire motivation for this is MONEY, so let's fine them for turning perfectly viable, rescuable horses over to the meat market or maybe something else along those lines. Does anyone have any ideas? God bless you all!

We run www.horsesavers.us and can attest to the fact that all too many good young horses and fine older ones all down on their luck find their way to the auctions. With a little help they can become mentors for less fortunate youngsters and more often then not their stall doors are full with ribbons.
